Nearest dealerships are an hour away in either direction, and I'm sure not going back to this one. I think I might need a change.

This is the way. Sounds like this dealership believes it has a monopoly in the area.

Definitely try a different dealership. Hopefully they can get it figured out. I'd also reach out to Ford corporate about your back seat issues. Handing you a rag is a trash way to take care of customers, especially someone that spent $30,000 on your product.
