FordPass App Version 5.5.0 (iPhone, I am not sure about Android)

Updates:

• It's now easier to share access to your vehicle. When you receive an access request, FordPass will now navigate directly to the vehicle access screen.
• If you schedule a trip in the FordPass app, your Apple Watch will now notify you when your car begins preparing for departure.

5.5.0 for Android as well. The only change I've noted so far is that the car's engine must be running before you can begin the process of pairing the vehicle to the app. In the past, you could begin the process on the app, then enable access in the car at the next engine start. Now, the engine must be started in the car before you can even begin the process in the app. Why? I have no idea...

What exactly does the car do to begin preparing for departure? Check the control tower for clearance?

And I don’t see any feature in the app to schedule a trip. What am I missing?

I just realized that link was to a Mach E forum. I bet that feature is only available on Mach E’s.

I think so too (but likely applies to all Ford EVs) … the Mach E forum said the schedule a trip capability was removed a few months back and the v5.5.0 update is referring to departure times, not trip planning (whatever departure time means)

It’s misleading. Referring to start time not an actual trip like you used to be able to do.

ANy way to get it to stop demanding a passcode on your watch? I haven’t been able to use this app since the update for that.

Is there any way to add (or even edit) a self-service maintenance record (oil/filter change) in this version of FordPass? I can see service records just fine, including ones I've added in the past. I can add the record from my workstation and despite what the "Help" article says, I cannot edit the record to upload a receipt. I do not get the supposed button to upload an image. Of course, the Live Chat help option is totally useless
Cheers!

I have not found a way and no one else I’ve seen asking this reported they could add or edit using current FordPass App

Can you edit from your workstation?

I think the live chat is only a bot with limited functionality

Yeah, you can add and edit from a workstation, but there is no button to upload a receipt (at least for me). From my iPhone in V5.50, I'm only able to view records. Any chat with a bot is useless! Cheers!

You can try FordPass App v5.6.0 but doubt it will help that issue

Thanks! No change with V5.6.0. I'll just continue to add them with my workstation sans receipts. Trying to contact them for suggested changes/improvements is just not worth my time. Cheers!
