I always loved haggling. I think many dealers dont like this because they cannot do ADMs which they love to do on highly desired vehicles which is what some EVs are. Course you could get rid of actual dealerships and change to a service center/test drive center. This is where you can go to test drive different versions of an EV then order it online at a kiosk. No actual salesman. So there would only be like one of each model at the dealership (fully loaded of course so you could see all potential features). Then other than that the dealership becomes just a service center.

This is the future, direct to consumer. Manufactures are setting up new companies just for their EV sales. This is how they will get around all the current dealer franchise laws. All these start-up EV manufacturers are already doing it. Dealers will be used car sales and delivery/service centers.

Where I live the dealer doesn't haggle and I don't believe they ever have. You pay the sticker at the time your purchase it or order it, and get any incentives that Ford might be offering.

There is still a big attraction for a lot of people to wander a lot full of cars and get one without having to wait weeks or months for it to be built. I think we’re a long way from that changing.
