FORD PERIMETER PLUS VEHICLE SECURITY SYSTEM

My alarm was activated tonight. I have surveillance cameras, recordings show no one near my BL. I could not disarm alarm until I physically started the bronco. I do have the ford perimeter plus security system.
Any thoughts to what might have caused this?

Im not familiar with this particular system so i may be talking out of my ass but alot of security systems have a glass break sensor. This sensor works off of noise (sound of glass breaking). Maybe there was a noise similar enough to set that off?

Considering the Bronco Sport does its random clicking when near the vehicle, my guess is that the Bronco itself triggered the system. When power cycling whatever the hell those clicks are ?

I think you should invest in this security system. There has to be an explanation for this. I do live near a busy intersection. It’s the first time it’s happened in the four months I’ve owned the BL.

I think this might be the answer. Although no one was near my BL my son was loading my dodge with old windows, somewhat near my BL.

I installed the system on mine several months back--no false alarms yet.

I don't have this on my Bronco Sport, but I do on my Ranger. I have the sensitivity turned all the way up and occasionally a Harley or loud truck will set it off. If it happens too much I can just turn the sensitivity down a bit, it is the small knob on the side of the module.

The heavy mower of the lawn car company set mine off on my F-150 yesterday. Not the full alarm, just the quick horn honk.
