On WBZ 1030 AM Boston. I was driving back from OBX several years ago and turned on my radio on the Wright Memorial Bridge. Very early on a Sunday morning. To my surprise, WBZ was on! Pretty much a straight line over water. Really surprised I picked it up.

Ridiculous, and hard to believe. The BIGGEST station in my town (it has an interstate and international audience) is AM, and I listen for a bit in my drivetime almost every day. AND on longer trips when and where other local stations are first to go out-of-range. Not much is as annoying as the corresponding FM side-channel station (XXX.1, .2 and so on) constantly dropping out due to out-of-range/obstruction/whatever. While my big local AM still will go on, this solution for receiving it in any future Ford is unacceptable.

I still listen to AM running errands around town. WBZ News radio 1030 AM Boston.

Ford dropping AM is o.k. since I am using Android Auto now.
You're OK with because you've got yours -- what will you do once it's gone (i.e. in your next vehicle, if that's a Ford)? Or does your phone get AM?

Yes, I can get WBZ 1030 AM with Android Auto through my phone. TuneIn Radio is the App.

Well, Ford announced last night on the news that the AM radio stays.
