Ford App Appears with More to come

My 2025 Bronco Sport Big Bend Black Diamond had an new icon appear in the Apple Car Play Menu. After the most recent update this appeared. A ford app with a notice of more to come.

I’m a bit confused… so this is the Ford app through CarPlay?

What’s the Ford app show on CarPlay as a general rule?

In my opinion, it seems redundant to have the Ford app in the vehicle, but again, I don’t have it on CarPlay, so perhaps I’m missing something.

I use the app to start my car, and unlock / lock the doors when I can’t find my spare key (my main key is always in the vehicle).

So, what benefit is having it in use in the car? Genuine curiosity.
