One last item is because my BB is a 3 cylinder engine
??? Your avatar shows a Badlands, which uses the 2.0L.

There's no need to cool down a modern turbocharged engine. This is a holdover from the early days of turbocharging when only engine oil was used for cooling the turbine bearings. The turbocharger in your engine is kept cool via the engine's cooling system.

If you've ever been an RV owner like myself, QC is non existent in that segment. You better know how to work on things, otherwise your RV could be in the shop for months being repaired.

They sell them, but can't repair them in a timely manner for various reasons.

The U.S. auto industry has come a long way, but it continues to have issues, Ford leads the way.

As these vehicles become more complex and ad tech features, more problems will come up.

I think they sometimes rush features into production, just to keep up with other manufacturers.
Not to veer to far off-topic, but we have a Winnebago View, and because of that I'm on a few RV forums and mailing lists, and very familiar with the nightmares people have experienced.

We bought our 2009 View used in 2012. If there were any problems the original owner had them fixed. Never buy a new RV! This video by a lemon law attorney explains why. He discusses the outrageous documents buyers are expected to sign -- absolving the dealer of ANY responsibility:


Auto dealers can be bad, but RV dealers are even worse!

Your year and model were built in the "better" times. It's a shame what the industry has become.

I do have to say I had a leak in the back hatch part, but it was because of the seal around the top brake light bar that was letting water in. After they fixed it, it did leak a tiny bit, but they don’t know where it’s coming from and it hasn’t done it again yet.

The early RV's (pre-2010) were good, but I do agree that getting them serviced today is a crap shoot.

As to the BS, I have a very good dealership in the way of Parks Ford in Gainesville Florida. Their customer service is great, and they truly do their best to get it right.

I also have a 2023 Badlands, and FWIW I know a few others with a mix of Big Bend and Badlands, every single one that leaves the auto start/stop turned on has had some form of electrical or battery issue. Ironically it seems leaving the start/stop on and driving short (under 10-15 miles) repeatedly that seems to be the cause of many of these issues. Those that have had the issue replaced the battery with an aftermarket, not warranty replacement and disabled the start/stop on short trips and seem to have been good since.

The issues seem to be much more prominent in the 1.5L than the 2.0L
There is a recall coming out that address this issue. Attached is a copy.
