I noticed an exhaust smell whenever I warmed it up for 5 or so minutes. I [think] it was due to the liftgates' weatherstripping and/or the fact the tail pipes are tucked under the bumper. I installed a Flowmaster FX axial-back (not for this issue, I just wanted the sound!!)and the issue was resolved. I [think] due to the tail pipes now extending slightly past the bumper, the exhaust is no longer collecting in that space.

How do you like the Flowmaster FX axle back?I listened to it on You Tube[Flowmaster Video] on the Bronco Sport with the 1.5 Eco Boost and thought it sounded pretty good? And where did you get it from and was it in stock?

AKA "the wife tool" in my house. It's the only tool she recognizes by name. Incidentally, ALL tools are hammers for her.
I have several, one is labeled the BFH for when you simply need more force.

I think i might go with the Flowmaster but i might call Summit Racing Tuesday in Tallmadge,Ohio and see if they can order it and have it delivered to their Store!! So i can compare it to the MBRP Exhaust they have in stock although i'm pretty sure i'm will get the Flowmaster i heard both on YT and the Flowmaster sounds better IMO!!I only live 30 minutes away so that's a bonus for me!!And i think someone mentioned the MBRP cat back you have to cut 17 inches of pipe off i don't want to do that!!

For me, it's got a nice mellow tone unlike a lot of the Japanese "tuners which I find obnoxious. You will need to cut off the 2 1/2 inches from the muffler body, per instructions. Flowmaster has been making exhaust for decades (Im not sure about MBRP) I have purchased several systems over the years and have yet to be dissatisfied. CHEERS!

I took my Bronco Sport (58K miles) in last week for sensors going off and that same smell in the cabin. I had to put myself in a rental for 2 days until Colley Ford (Glendora, CA) can diagnosed the problem. I got a call on Friday from them saying the smell is from a cracked catalytic converter. Good thing I have the extended warranty and the parts and labor will be covered as well as the rental now.

Its been about a week now that they have had the car. I'm still waiting to be called for an updated on the sensors
