I'm going back and forth in my thinking about a 26 BL sas vs. non-sas. I've done test drives of 25s on pavement and think tires are mainly responsible for perceived differences in this setting. Off road, the sas advantage is pretty clear. My main interest in the bull/brush bar is for modest protection from deer strikes. I frequently see roadside deer out west and scores of road kill. I'm thinking that the bar may provide modest radiator/engine protection that just might allow continued travel to the next town as opposed to praying for a cell signal.

I'm considering replacing the factory guard with an aftermarket (either off-the-shelf or fabbed) guard that provided a little broader protection, possibly including the headlights. It'll likely have to be custom, as there's really nothing out there for the '25's, much less as a replacement for the Sas factory guard.

Yes. I've poked around a bit about this possibility and choices are, for now, limited with potential for sensor/camera issues. I'm interested only in modest radiator and engine protection. Probabilities of deer strikes are relatively low but I'm influenced by several friends over the decades who've had this experience.

Well, I won’t be doing any high-speed driving on sand or cross country rallying so that probably eliminates any advantage in the SAS it doesn’t tone more towing capacity, than the BL and it doesn’t have any tone anymore driving modes than the BL although it does come with better tires the tiedown feature on the front fenders are strange I would definitely consider putting a better brush grill guard on. I won’t be driving in any deserts so having sticks and such work their way through the grill or a rock.
Lol I could just be jealous because I just got my 25BL and it’s gonna have to do for a few years. I’m working on finding a proper lift kit get another inch and a half and better than stock tires because these ones aren’t snow rated at all..

Look at Belltech 1.5 lift kit ,I just put it on my 21 First Edition badlands. It’s perfect also installed 30.3inch Goodyear tires.

Nice, I hope to be there soon.
I screwed up when I bought BS, I assumed the tires would be the 3peak rated so I could get away without buying snow tires. I might have to sneak a new set past my wife since I was bragging how clever I was lol.
