The maximum length of a USB cable varies depending on the USB version

There are less robust versions that don't have the license issue and run on iPhone or Android. I have the cable but never got around to messing with it.

Just dropped off the Sport for a dealer oil change and asked if they use Forscan, and could eliminate the double-horn-honk. They said yes - but Forscan is not working because of the sanctions....... Googled it sure enough...... Didn't know Forscan came out of Russia. Going to ask around at repair shops if they have working Forscan.

I would imagine that someone with the right tools and knowledge could make a good bit of money performing this service for others. I tried to find such a person in my area to no avail. The dealership I contacted about performing this service acted as if I were crazy for asking if they would help me eliminate the double honk. The guy I spoke with stated talking about legal ramifications, liability etc. I would gladly pay someone a reasonable fee to perform this service for me.

Jumped into the FORScan mystery machine. There really needs to be a FORScan for dummies thread to lead a novice thru it. For less than what the ASS Eliminator costs, you can do that and so much more.

I already have the ASS Eliminator on the Bronco so left the ASS alone.

Did switch off/on as applicable these four things:

Double honk disabled - this alone is heavan on earth.
Panic alarm mode - Lights only
DRL include Park lamps
Using front fog with high beam (Bambi mode)

This USB 2.0 cable worked fine - strung out my office window to the Bronco.
If you have a laptop so much the better - no cable needed.
