Does anyone know how to change any of the side marker lights? My left rear side marker lights got broken by a stray shopping cart, the light still works, but I want to change it out before winter so water doesn't freeze in there.

Try popping it out. It's broken anyway. It if pops out, a new one will pop right in.

I forgot to mention I already have the part, and tried to pry it out, but it feels pretty secure in there like it’s screwed in somehow

I don't see any screw holes or such in the pics on Amazon. I see clips.

Looks like a one-piece sealed unit to me. You'll probably need to squeeze the 2 expanding clips from the backside to get it out. Cheers!

Damn, that shopping cart did a number. Scuffed up the bumper pretty good too. One of the reasons I always park out in the boonies. No surprises when you return.

Whenever I see someone parked out in the boonies I go park right next to them. Why? Because they are clearly conscientious about door dings, so at least one side of my car will be protected. Also, it's fun to think the owner will come out to their car and wonder why, with all the empty spot around, some idiot had to park right next to them. :cwl:

For the record, I do park next to them on the passenger side...

Dang, must have been a speeding shopping cart! Where are the cops when you need them ? but in all seriousness, it should have two clips or tabs on the back, unfortunately the light is likely one whole assembly, so the bulb and housing aren't going to be salvageable

Happens to me all the time. Always someone right next to me when I come out. One time at Home Depot a guy parked next to me and was urinating on my just detailed tires. You really can't win.

@13MikeH has one of the funniest posts on this forum related to this exact scenario.

I guess the big question is how do I get to the backside? I thought about prying it until it breaks out, but I don’t want to damage the holes it snaps into
