I'm an old guy, been driving for over 55 years. I always wear my seat belt, and I ensure that everyone riding with me also "buckles up". But every time I start up my Bronco Sport, I have to confirm that we are, indeed, buckled up by pressing OK to clear the popup nanny warning so that I can see the freaking dashboard display. How do I disable that annoyance? There has to be a way.

You can ignore it and it will disappear on its own after a while. I’m not sure, but it may be able to be disabled entirely with FORScan.

Interesting. Do I need a dead chicken in a bag and does it involve hopping on one foot while chanting?

I will give it a shot later.

Ya know, I'm thinking this only removes the audible warning and not the pop up message on the dash, as the title of the document refers to the audible warning. 🤔

I did it and it worked for awhile but stopped after my last oil change at the dealership, I believe seat position changes require reapplying the procedure. At this point I'm not redoing it.

Did it remove the popup alert or just the audio alert?

I recall when I was test driving and buying my Bronco Sport, the salesperson was wanting to demonstrate the display options and said "Oh, that's right, we need to put on our seat belts and press OK in order for me to show you these options while parked and idling."

However, when starting the car It's only 30-60 seconds before the seatbelt popup goes way on its own...I don't even bother pressing OK.
