After hours researching dashcams and ready posts here, I've narrowed it down to 2.
John recommended the Vantrue E1 Pro 4K. It's at the top of my list. I also added the Rove R2 4K dual dashcam as a consideration.
The Vantrue was listed on Amazon for $130 the last week or so. Today it's back to the regular price of $150.
The Rove is still at $130 today on Amazon.
I decided to order both and eyeball each and get a hands on feel for both. I'll return one of them.
I put both in the cart and luckily the Vantrue had a $30 discount applied so the price was $120. It's still cheaper on Newegg, $110, but I decided the Amazon route is best for me, (free easy returns).
Both have pretty much the same specs & features. The Vantrue is smaller which I like. It doesn't come with a Micro SD card but comes with a CPL filter.
The Rove comes with a Micro SD card, 128 GB, and a rear camera, 1080P, which I probably wouldn't use, but doesn't come with a CPL filter. Filter is $20 on Amazon.
We'll see. Probably will be the Vantrue
So, if you are considering the Vantrue, you can get a good deal today. Make sure the discount is applied before you order. Look for the save 20% at check out in green in the ad.
As a sidenote I installed the Rubigrid on my dash. The lower section is magnetic but not the top section, must be aluminum. I was hoping to mount the dashcam with a magnet on the base for easy removal. But I will have to figure out some other option.
