The other morning I was coming back from taking my son to school and clipped a deer. There was no body damage to my Bronco but now I get a warning that my Pre Collision Monitor is blocked and not working. I’ve tried searching for the location of the sensor but cannot find the location. Any suggestions? Thanks

Yes I’ve seen this diagram but was curious if someone had a photo. I do much better with video or actual photos of things. Thank you though.

The posted diagram shows the exact placement

Take and post a clear pic of the front end of your vehicle in good lighting with no glare - maybe we all can see the issue assuming the damage is visible

How fast were you traveling when the deer was clipped?

BTW, that is a 2026. It think that part of the grill has changed at least once. You didn’t say what year you have.

Sorry that should have said 2025, should have put on my glasses, assuming AI didn’t “correct” it for me.

I was braking from about 25 mph. It killed the deer. I’ll grab a pic asap. We have rain for the moment

Sorry to hear about the mishap. Attached are the instructions to remove the front bumper, access and align the CCM. Once this is done, you will need to calibrate the CCM. This can be done with the CCM alignment service procedure in FORScan by driving on the highway for a few miles.

I hit a deer (my 1st in 35 years living in Wisconsin) last October in my one-month-old 2025 Bronco Sport. $12k to fix the damage. Easily half that was related to sensor systems. If I hadn't had a brush guard on it, body shop said things would have been much worse. If all you have is that one sensor issue you are very fortunate. Might be helpful to conduct a thorough assessment of the front sensor systems whether or not the onboard software is indicatings issues?

Yes that sounds like a great place to start and hopefully finish. Thank you

I gotta admit that while the event was bad (hitting deer is not fun for any of the concerned) I found the title of this post describing the event to be..., what's the correct word? Funny? Ironic?

Anyway, all the best getting it sorted out.

Yeah you would’ve thought something would’ve alerted me about the deer but I think the sensor only picks up metal in objects. Who knew?
