According to this review, the Bronco Sport and Passport Trailsport are about the same offroad.
Both being limited by ground clearance and having independent rear suspension.

On the other hand, for the the people that already own or will purchase the Bronco Sport or Passport Trailsport, these vehicles have more capability than what most people will use them for. Others needing more capability will choose something else.

My takeaway was the Trailsport is more light trail/softroad oriented than the BS (especially if you go Badlands Sasquatch). Less stock ground clearance than the BS and pretty meh approach/breakover/departure angles. The only place where it significantly beats the BS is in towing capacity. All for an entry price of $50K before you up-trim it.

Did Honda drop the prices? I swear the Trailsport Elite was 54k starting msrp a few weeks ago. The dealerships around here have started discounting them already.
That is the base price. Start adding packages and watch the price go up.

I stopped by a dealer to take a look at the orange PP and came out with a new car. It’s quite fat. I tried aligning the backs as best I could to see the difference in size but it’s hard to photograph well.

The BS paint is way nicer and has a gorgeous metallic sheen, while the Honda is more of a flat orange. The BS also has a much better interior dash texture and design. The PP in general is just a much nicer and smoother ride, similar to the Explorer. The 1.5L never felt underpowered to me, but the v6 is niiceeeeeee.

Going to miss the baby bronco… recalls aside ?

I don't see many around but Honda is selling/leasing 4k-5K a month. I test drove it and gave it a good look but didn't like it at all. So I bought a leftover '24 Badlands with a great discount. In fact, there's not one Honda model I like now and I was a Honda guy. My wife has a HR-V.
