The fuel filter is required in California which reduces the horsepower to 238. Everywhere it is not required and the horsepower is 250.

I am wanting to change to a 2025 BSBL Sasquatch but I am waiting to see how the tariff effects the price. There are a few around the country but none close to me. I ripped on of the skid plates on my 23 BL which is hanging down right now. If the tariff adds 25% to the cost of a new one I will probably just change to aluminum skid plates and add a 1.5" lift.

what lift kit you thinking of getting? Where are you getting skid plates?

Not really sure what your comment has to do with mine. The Badlands has a bigger engine and once you get used to that, you're not gonna regret it. More fun to drive off road.
This thread is about Recalls with his BB and why he got rid of it and you posted in this thread. So you think because the Badlands has the bigger engine he won't get any recalls?

the inclusion of the new port injection feature for keeping the back of the intake valves clean.
I believe that is a benefit of port injection, but not the primary reason Ford has added it to most of its direct-injection EcoBoost engines. Port injection provides for better atomization of the fuel prior to entry into the cylinder at low RPM. This greatly reduces the chance of low-speed preignition.

Car and Driver magazine and Edmunds, are saying there is no changes in the horsepower ratings between 2024 to 2025
Car & Driver is reporting max horsepower at 238.

since most of the previous recalls were more directly related to the 1.5L engine, YES.

He could still have the same recalls with the Badlands as he did with the BB.
He also pointed out that his previous was a "COVID build" so this newer build may be a bit better quality wise.

Well, not to be a Debbie downer but I just recieved a notice today saying the drivers seat belt buckle needs to be replaced. Not a recall per se, but needs to go in just the same something within the next year. I’m guessing trim independent.
Most likely. I just got this notice the other day too. Repair it says for me though is 15 years or 400,000kms, so I’ll just file it & forget it unless the airbag light actually comes on. It says it only needs to go in the next year here though if time (impossible) & mileage (pretty unlikely…) have been exceeded already.

I swear I’ve gotten more letters about this car than anything else, but when it’s this & the other one I filed away with some under hood emissions sticker, I can’t get too worried about recalls. At least they’re open & transparent about potential issues.

I traded in my 2022 Big Bend I custom ordered towards a 2024 Badlands. I did a lot of research and waited until the 2024's were discounted enough to justify purchasing another BS, but I am so happy I did. The Covid built Big Bend has left me stranded too many times even though I still loved it. The Badlands is much more of a quality build and I absolutely love the 2.0T and all that came with the Badlands.

Switching to the Badlands was a great choice :) Definitely has some pros for sure!

Congrats! I love my 2022 BB but if I could go back and do it all over I'd get a Badlands had I known how expensive they'd become with the options I wanted! (don't like what they've changed for 2025 and even a 2024 with rebates is too expensive for me to justify right now plus theres none out there equipped like I'd want)

You enjoy it!
