I traded in my 2022 Big Bend I custom ordered towards a 2024 Badlands. I did a lot of research and waited until the 2024's were discounted enough to justify purchasing another BS, but I am so happy I did. The Covid built Big Bend has left me stranded too many times even though I still loved it. The Badlands is much more of a quality build and I absolutely love the 2.0T and all that came with the Badlands.

What problems with the BB did you have that left you stranded?

All the recalls. I get that they are covered by warranty, but when your daily driver is tied up at the dealership and there's no fix for the new battery issue; I had to move on.

So what makes you think the Badlands won't have any recalls? And IIRC some of the 2024's are also on the Battery Recall List ? If i got rid of my BS BB i wouldn't get another one with the Recalls and Gas Gage that doesn't work right and the annoying dash rattle and it's a 2023. I would get a Maverick which has less problems than the Bronco Sports.

Congrats. I am seeing a lot of good deals on 2024 Badlands by me, it's tempting. Yes, the upgrade in engine I imagine is quite satisfying. I would not go for a smaller engine in the BS after having the badlands.

He could still have the same recalls with the Badlands as he did with the BB.

Less likely to have a leaking water pump, or fuel injectors with a drain tube as a fix. He already answered your question in post #3

The Kodiak brown is probably my favorite color on these since it's so rare to see. Too bad it was discontinued

I have a 2024 Big Bend (since October) and so far have not received any letters or notification of recall.

*Fingers crossed*

Exactly. Also the new MPC 2L engine has port injection - a big plus. Not sure if the MPC 2L has the wet belt for the oil pump(?) And that Kodiak Brown really is striking.

Our 2023 Big Bend has not had any recalls and it has 14000+ miles. We do get many compliments on the Eruption Green color though.

Not really sure what your comment has to do with mine. The Badlands has a bigger engine and once you get used to that, you're not gonna regret it. More fun to drive off road.

Has that been confirmed for the Bronco Sport? Some automotive press outlets are saying the 2025 2.0L engine makes 238 HP, but Ford's website still says 250 HP.

Well, not to be a Debbie downer but I just recieved a notice today saying the drivers seat belt buckle needs to be replaced. Not a recall per se, but needs to go in just the same something within the next year. I’m guessing trim independent.

I think originally there was an anticipated change in the horsepower rating due to the inclusion of some kind of filter for compliance, and is not related to the inclusion of the new port injection feature for keeping the back of the intake valves clean. Most resources I've seen, like Car and Driver magazine and Edmunds, are saying there is no changes in the horsepower ratings between 2024 to 2025. Ford is indeed showing 250 horsepower now.
