But what is the point of a premium care warranty if the car isn’t getting fixed? Like a care warranty is great and all, but is that going to fix my car and have it stop being in the shop?

The OP wants it fixed permanently, not be offered a service that doesn’t help solve the issue. I had them do the same thing with my Escape when I was having issues with it when I had it. Like cool thanks, still doesn’t fix the car though.

What they should’ve done was offer that and also have a Ford tech come out specially to fix the car. Obviously there’s something going on when all these fixes aren’t working. And if that corporate Ford tech can’t fix it, then offer to buy it back.
Well said Brian, spot-on!

The alternator cost me like 800
The battery 300
The torque converters- 0
Still haven’t heard what solution has come as of yet.
All I know is… more trans issues, bad battery, electrical draining battery from somewhere And the recall for the PCM.

Scheduled my 2021 badlands in because of intermittent power issues.
recall on PCM being done at the same time.
Full power failure last August they made me replace the battery.
Next problem I had to replace the alternator
Next problem had to have the torque converters replaced, had it in 2 times for trans issues
Now it’s having more power issues, random things shutting off, screen, windows, low power, hesitation.
So I booked an appointment and then the recall came out so they said they would handle it the same time.
They want to do a load test on the batter and charge me 390 dollars for a test.. I paid 302 for the battery and the test says they need to replace the battery. Ummmm not paying for that! So if they don’t do the load test they won’t know why the battery is having problems. Yet they say it has nothing to do with the recall either.
ahhhh!!!!
Sorry to hear this. We had same issues, same wrong diagnosis every time. They also told us it's the alternator, which we replaced 6 months prior for the origonal one freezing up and popping the belt. Yes, almost 800 for an alternator, we didn't need. They told us 1900 for parts and labor on that.for a 51/2 hour job they said. My brother in law and myself had it off and replaced in under an hour in the driveway...lol. After a 2nd PCM and body control module, software update, my wife's BS outerbanks, acted up worse! Much worse! They used Ford's software update protocol. Then they say it's transmission, a $9,000 repair. It is NOT, the transmission! We test drove it after first update and literally watch the "electronic" dial shifter move from reverse to park ON IT'S OWN! It died on me I lost count how many times babying it home. We were stranded out of state for 7 weeks because of this lemon! We decided to take this 3 time safety issue recalls piece of junk to her finance company and tell Ford to stick this hunk of junk where the sun don't shine! We bought a 2019 Jeep Compass Latitude with unbelievabl low miles at a known Ford dealer's preowned lot. We researched it and not once did this model Jeep SUV ever have ANY recalls or maintainence issues. FORD owes all consumers a public apology for ever letting these leave an assembly line. 456,000 Ford BS and Maveriks were effected with recalls. 23,000 were the new Maverik, the rest are all Bronco Sports with 1.5L ecoboost. What a Joke of a vehicle. They are dangerous to operate. We voluntarily surrendered the garbage and will never buy a new Ford of any kind again after dealing with corporate, who will do nothing! We ever buy another new vehicle we go to back GM for my Dad's Legacy discount, and get something at near dealer cost!

Who is monitoring??? I didn’t know that
From what I've seen here, the Ford media teams function is to assist in escalating a problem and possibly documenting the car problems and dealer problems. It's a help to Ford, but maybe not as much help as the owner is looking for.
Even with that, it's is good to know that someone at Ford is listening.

Any auto parts store or battery shop will do a battery load test for free. They want to sell you a new battery. Agreed, for $300, you should get a lithium battery with a heater.

My battery is covered under warranty. The last one was replaced in August by Ford. So Ford replaced my battery and it was covered…didn’t cost me anything. They did not do the test because I refused to pay $390 for that test, so they just replaced the battery. They don’t know why the battery is draining so fast, there is something electrical draining the battery. The test would’ve showed what that was but Ford decided to just replace the battery and not find out what was actually the problem because I refused to pay $390 for a test, even though I had to replace the battery and the battery was free to me. didn’t make any sense to pay for a test on a battery that had to be replaced anyway.
If Ford wanted to do the right thing and figure out why this is happening, because it’s not just my car it’s happening to…. Then they should’ve done the right thing.
It’s not like they didn’t make any money off me… I had to get an alignment because I got new tires and my place that does my tires doesn’t have the software for new Fords. And I couldn’t find the wiper for the back window anywhere and mine broke so I got a new wiper too… and that wiper is covered for three years. Imagine that.
It seems like they didn’t look over everything that I asked them to. They were supposed to fix the undercarriage liner. One of the clips broke off. I asked to have that fixed. They didn’t fix that. I told them that the car was sliding when I put it in drive …. it’s still doing that. I don’t know I mean, I’m not that happy… I think I’m just being fed a bunch of bullshit from people that don’t know what they’re talking about.
The Recall got done…. And I was told that a lot of my issues will get better because of the recall and if they don’t then call the dealership. I just didn’t like this answer because I actually understand what that recall was about.
Anyway, I feel bad because the computer systems were down and they struggled at least the girl who help me struggled because she had to hand write all the paperwork.

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.

This may be old news to most people, but I just heard that a company that 15,000 car dealers depend on was hacked -- ransomware. That's likely why she was doing the paperwork by hand.
