Battery failing again and recall

Scheduled my 2021 badlands in because of intermittent power issues.
recall on PCM being done at the same time.
Full power failure last August they made me replace the battery.
Next problem I had to replace the alternator
Next problem had to have the torque converters replaced, had it in 2 times for trans issues
Now it’s having more power issues, random things shutting off, screen, windows, low power, hesitation.
So I booked an appointment and then the recall came out so they said they would handle it the same time.
They want to do a load test on the batter and charge me 390 dollars for a test.. I paid 302 for the battery and the test says they need to replace the battery. Ummmm not paying for that! So if they don’t do the load test they won’t know why the battery is having problems. Yet they say it has nothing to do with the recall either.
ahhhh!!!!

You are going to need to get a case filed with Ford and begin the escalation process …

If in the US you can start with a phone call to this number but remember this will take a lot of effort on your part to provide documentation, dealer repair tickets, timeframe of events, etc. you may need to be nice but aggressive to get your case adjudicated fairly.

If in the US you can start with a phone call to this number but remember this will take a lot of effort on your part to provide documentation, dealer repair tickets, timeframe of events, etc. you may need to be nice but aggressive to get your case adjudicated fairly.

I’m guessing you are out of warranty so there is that.

Ford ended up offering me a zero cost Premium Care Warrenty…. So I have that till over 90 thousand miles.

But what is the point of a premium care warranty if the car isn’t getting fixed? Like a care warranty is great and all, but is that going to fix my car and have it stop being in the shop?

The OP wants it fixed permanently, not be offered a service that doesn’t help solve the issue. I had them do the same thing with my Escape when I was having issues with it when I had it. Like cool thanks, still doesn’t fix the car though.

What they should’ve done was offer that and also have a Ford tech come out specially to fix the car. Obviously there’s something going on when all these fixes aren’t working. And if that corporate Ford tech can’t fix it, then offer to buy it back.

Chevy told me my 2012 pickup was “fully protected”, but in fact “fully” meant, “well, more or less sometimes, but maybe not too”. So I switched to Ford. Chevy phoned regularly for at least five years, but I never went back. If Ford can’t or won’t fix the electronics/computer problems I’m having, I will move on again.

As a former Ford dealer I find it ludicrous that we have a Ford social media rep on here monitoring the posts. Sounds like a good idea right? When their advice is to me, "Go see your Ford dealer" when you are out of warranty is not helpful. Customer goes to dealer, "Ford said to come and see you " They often interpret that as getting financial assistance with your problem. It's basically trying to download the problem to the dealer with no help from corporate. I've assisted many people out of warranty with no help from Ford.
Who is monitoring??? I didn’t know that

Ford Social Media Team. I've had conversations with them. Unfortunately they cannot provide solutions other than "call your dealer" which most of us are already aware of. I've dealt with it as a dealer and now a regular consumer since I retired.

300+ for a battery?! Walmart has a high quality AGM battery with 3 year replacement warranty for only 160. They call them stealerships for a reason. And before anyone asks, No, buying a Walmart battery will not void a warranty.
