Maybe a dumb question but what’s a good way to combat backup camera glare? Works perfect during daylight hours. But at night, if it’s rainy, or humid or whatever. The license plate light gives off a glare and makes the camera unusable. Would a little rain X help?

I hit our cameras with it. Not sure if it made a huge difference or not. Been raining here lately and drove around last night didn't notice a problem with glare.

Might be a camera focusing thing? I also Changed the reverse lamps to really bright leds. I can see the honey comb pattern from the lens projected onto the garage door when backing into the driveway.

Also equipped an additional reverse light over the rear number plate. Maybe the extra light helps the camera focus at night for me

In misty, or heavy fog conditions, Rain'X causes almost complete obscuring of the cameras. A washer squirt clears up the front camera on the Badlands, but there's no more squirter on the back camera.

Ford discontinued the rear camera washer for the 2024 model year. :(

Not a dumb question an all. At night, the rear camera is almost worthless! Why? It’s the friggin license plate lights! And it’s the same on all of them up to 2025 models when the license plate has been repositioned. The original placement was a major safety faux pas by the designers. Unfortunately nothing can be done to fix it in any aftermarket sense.

My solution is to not use it when it's not usable. Cameras are federally mandated, so the cars have them. We were able to back up cars without them too. So the camera is an extra tool that can help, is more helpful some times than other times. I guess a tiny bit more helpful if you have a rear camera washer like us '21s ?. A hydrophobic coat also makes sense but there is a lot of crud blowing around back of the truck.

Does get dirty fast - keeping it clean helps. Rarely wash the Bronco Sport but the back-up camera gets a tissue wipe when I notice vision getting bad.

Since it is a camera, a camera lens cover could help--maybe a polarized lens cover.
