Personally, I think a system that is advertised as premium and by a specific brand should have components designed and/or made by that brand.
Agreed! It is very surprising that to put a brand name on a stereo system, the manufacturer just has to meet some specifications of the audio brand.

I almost never go over 15-16 with the volume and I feel like that's plenty loud.
I wear hearing aids, have been since my Army days (I'm 38 now). I listen to it in the mornings at probably 8-9 (mostly podcasts or easy listening/soft rock) and bump up to 11-14 (Rock/Punk/Hip-Hop, etc.) when driving with windows down and that seems fine to me. The bass is way better than my '15 Subaru XV Crosstrek was. My only complaint is that I felt like I could tune it more on the Crosstrek, whereas this only gives you Fade/Balance and Bass/Mid/Treble options.

All in all, I am pleased. To the person who said they need it over 20/22, if you aren't wearing hearing aids, please go see an ENT specialist. Seriously. I can't live without these things.

I have phenomenal hearing fwiw. Probs why I can hear the buzz with bass where others can’t. Etc. If you turn the bass and mids almost all the way down the amp doesn’t cut volume as bad and is a little louder. The levels still sound off and is muddy. Sounds like all my speakers are run off the head unit and not powered by an amp.
For instance. Some people love horn speakers and others get really fatigued from listening to them. Same with Bose since they cut a big frequency out since there developed for elderly and hearing impaired folks. Ones too bright and the other has no range and sound flat

Still haven't listened to another BS with the B&O? If I thought mine sounded so bad, the first thing I would do is try to listen to another one with the same system to see if it's just mine.

For being advertised as a upgraded 10 speaker premium B&O sound system with a premium sub woofer it falls way short. Ford should have done way better than this. Just sounding OK is not good enough! IMO
I thought the B&O in the BS didnt have a sub woofer? I thought it was just 6x9's?

Do you normally have bass and mid set in the middle (default)?

Buzzing is not normal for any audio system. It indicates a problem somewhere.

Bass and mids are turned way down. Mid is one click from the left. I know it isn’t normal. System is just meh. Using cheap off the shelf components. Again the speakers are the same ones Ford has been using for the last 10 years under different manufacturers in their vehicles. Thinking just gut them and replace. Usually I can live with it, but this sounds so displeasing. And Ford can’t/won’t help because it plays music.
At 20 I can have a conversation with someone in the passenger seat. At 12 at 25mph you been barely make out the vocals. Is like a whisper. At 15 it’s not much better, you can make out vocals but can talk over it with a normal conversation. You don’t have to turn down to talk to someone. I’ll try a db meter and see what I get. My iPhone is louder and more clear at 3/4 volume than the B&O at 12-15

I would take it to the dealership and attempt to demonstrate the buzzing noise and other problems.

Ask if they will replace the amplifier/DSP under warranty. Of course, it could be another issue entirely.

Just my opinion. I think it sounds great. I have surround on. My sources are sirus and streaming audio from LivexLive. When I tune , I first put it loud to a level of "when I want to turn it up" when I hear my favorite song.

My EQ is level and flat. I first do cuts on the low, mid, or high first before I boost. Most people think if they want more bass they boost the bass, my theory is to cut treble , to hear more bass. This method eliminates distortion on high volumes. For those having issues, take it to a pro audio shop and get their advice/opinion on your setup to see if your audio is faulty.

My only gripe for this B&O system is to have the ability to have at least a 7 band EQ, rather than the basic 3 broad EQ bands. Makes tuning more specific.

I'd say based on numerous other responses, it's either your system specifically or your level of hearing/frequency sensitivity at issue. Wouldn't hurt to take it in.

I'm still waiting for my Bronco Sport. I had a full size 4 door Badlands, SAS, LUX and it had the so called premium system. Like I said it sounded barely OK. Hardly a kick ass system. For the money they charge I think you could put a killer system in. I'm not an electronic wizard but I do appreciate a good sound system.

Just looked and my Bronco Sport Badlands say it comes with 10 speakers including the sub. I'm assuming it's the same as the full size.

The “sub” is a single 6x9 speaker.
