Just so y'all know, I get SiriusXM weather and traffic only in my 2015 F350, a few weeks ago it stopped working. Checked the Ford Sync site, and lo and behold, an update for sync 2!

Installed it, and works great again. ?

I have a '24 Badlands without navigation, so it's wire connect for weather and maps.

Help, I have been finding the XM touchscreen super clunky and some times freezes if I try to do things too fast. Most annoying is that I will touch a channel i want and it will instead choose a different channel nearby. I really don't know what I'm doing wrong. I have had two instances where I had to shut off the car to get the screen to unfreeze. I welcome all suggestions.
@KrisO You’ve commented you are on the latest Sync 23188 and have an iPhone which I assume is running iOS 18.2 or later ?

My suggestion is to not use the SiriusXM App from your iPhone (because it’s slow over the CarPlay to Sync interface and is less user friendly)

Try this instead: when your iPhone is plugged in with CarPlay active, switch the 8” Display to Sync and use the native SiriusXM on the Sync screen which has a better user interface and is much more responsive

You may want to get a wireless adapter. They’re great for short trips around town. I use the wired connection when I’m traveling on a long trip because of phone battery usage when running wireless.

Thank you all for the suggestions. I will spend some time with the manual. I’m not running the Sirius app via my phone. I manage website builds for a living so not a digital neophyte. @Ford @sirius #ui/ux fail!

That’s good to know you are not using the iPhone SiriusXM App, already have Sync 3.4.23188 installed and manage website builds

The 2 problems you are having are not normal for SiriusXM on the Sync screen (with 23188) so you probably should take your vehicle in for service. I’ve not heard anyone report those 2 problems before and they do not happen for me.

These are the 2 problems you listed.

1. XM touchscreen super clunky and some times freezes if I try to do things too fast

2. Most annoying is that I will touch a channel i want and it will instead choose a different channel nearby

This issue does occur with sync 3 even on the current 23188 version:
I have had two instances where I had to shut off the car to get the screen to unfreeze

You should not need to shut off the car, try this instead:

Sync Reset: press and hold both the Power button (center of the Volume knob) and the Seek Right button** for 10 seconds

Couple more suggestions that help to avoid touching the screen (until the dealership resolves that issue) is you can use the voice command to select any SiriusXM channel (when CarPlay is not active) and another is programmed stations can be selected with the buttons on right side of steering wheel
