I'm at 43k miles and probably at 5/32 tread depth (based on being at 6/32 at my last oil change. I had planned to move to Toyo Open Country but I was transferred for work and now have an hour highway drive to and from work. I want to make sure I have good highway road noise and comfort along with good wet traction.

I don't think I need anything too aggressive. Off-pavement, I mostly drive on sand, dirt trails, and maybe some rocky trails. I think having a tire with stronger sidewall (I'm not sure what the term is) to protect from anything that would puncture or tear it is more important than aggressive treads.

Here are the three I'm looking at in 235/65/17:
Toyo Open Country
BFG Trail Terrain
Yokohama Geolander G015

Any recommendations on these?
Check out the Falken A/T Trail. Had them on my wife's BS. Quiet, smooth, and good wear. No complaints.

I was going to mention these as well, sort of a middle ground between the stock tires and the AT3s. Aggressive enough for light trails and quiet enough for day to day commutes. I have had the 235 A/T Trails on mine for about 40k miles now and have zero complaints, plenty of tread left too.
