To do what, cut that section out of the bumper cover and plastic-weld this replacement section?
Thats what I'm thinking. I just got off the phone with the parts manager at our local Ford dealer, told me the bumper cover is 600.00 and on National backorder.

My Curt hitch came today- Ford harness should be here tomorrow. I likely will install this weekend. It looks pretty straightforward.

I've always installed this kinda stuff myself, never had a problem. I've got a torque wrench and a way to cut the bumper cover.
But I've never had to take down the exhaust for this.
Do we have to remove the bumper cover also ?
$275 for the Curt and
$120 for the FORD pig tail/light outlet.
Yeah I'm game, I'll go for this add on.

Same here. The fun is fishing bolts into the frame. But usually not too crazy.
The exhaust seems like it won’t be bad - especially being new.
The Curt instructions look very well done.

What about the bumper cover ? Stays on or comes off ?

How far does the Curt hitch stick out past the bumper cover?

Just needs the bottom 7mm bolts removed during install. Here are the instructions
Ok that looks pretty simple. That I can do. thanks Mike :D

Considering I just want to mount a bike rack or luggage platform I don't need the wiring rig from Ford. I can always add that later on.
