There are several complaints on the NHTSA site regarding AWD/4WD module failure across various Ford models. When the 4WD module went out on my 2021 Badlands I was doing some research and found Ford had a campaign that had dealers replace the 4WD module on a number of Sports before delivery as there was a faulty batch of modules that were initially installed at the factory. My Badlands was not part of that grouping.
