25S76 Recall PCM Remedy Now Available

I checked the Ford app and saw that the status of Recall 25S76 addressing the fuel injector situation is now available. I called my dealer and they confirmed that the PCM software update has been released. The dealer told me that they would need the vehicle for 5-9 hours to complete.

Recall 25S76 is for vehicles equipped with the 1.5L engine produced from 21-24 Bronco Sport models.

This is not a fuel injector replacement. It is only a PCM software update.

Ford will continue to address any fuel injectors found to be leaking at no charge.

In the iOS world, Ford Pass app has been rebranded as Ford app. This has a completely new updated look and feel.

It's called Ford on Android devices, too and I have 6.3.0 on my phone.

I got the same msg about a month ago and took my vehicle in for the recall. The software update only takes about 15 mins. It's the actual injector replacement that takes 5-9hrs. Since mine isn't squirting out fuel on the engine block, the only did the update. After they did the it, the recall still shows as "open" for my vehicle. They said Ford told them it would stay that way, but they didn't know why.

From what I was told, the recall is only for "leaking injectors" and will only be done once. So they will only do the recall, if they are leaking.

I had mine done in july when my service was done, I am not sure why they quoted you 5 to 7 hours, maybe because they were just going to do you when they could between other vehicles, the update in mine only took 15 minuits. as of now there still is no parts for the swap of the injectors, or the head or what ever is causing the issue so this is just a stop gap to try prevent more from leaking is what the service manager told me.

yup, thats what I was getting at. the software flash is just a update to try help them not leak, but not the fix.

My app said I needed the software update, had that done yesterday and now the app tells me I need the injectors replaced.
Haven’t called the dealer yet but it sounds like that isn’t actually a thing they are doing yet?

So I contacted my dealer this morning about this recall as it is still showing 'Attention needed' on the app. This was their reply.
"The initial fix didn't work and we are awaiting updated software. It will still need to be completed, but only once we have the update. you will receive an updated letter from Ford Canada "
So basically, hurry up and wait...
