2025 Fender Tie Down Retrofit Diagrams

Eagerly looking forward to seeing if the 2025 side fender tie downs can be retrofit onto the first gen sports. Looking at the parts listing for the 2025’s, it looks like the tie down is a support braket that pokes through the fender, bolted through what looks like the door hinge? If anyone’s been able to see a 2025 in person, I’d love to get these suspicions confirmed.

You can see in the assembly there’s the plain old fender badge that clips in, and one that has the support bolted to the body

beyond that a single offset light duty anchor is questionable
it might make for other brackets being introduced though

Follow this link to the ford parts page, it’s under fender air duct grille. It shows the assembly. The actual parts for the brackets aren’t out yet of course since there aren’t any 2025’s out there, but it should be available soon

All the parts are on backorder unfortunately. I also cant get anyone to get me a good picture of the assembly on the existing 2025's. Until someone rips one out of a crashed 2025, or someone gets a copy of the 2025 shop manual with the detailed diagrams, the answer is 'most likely possible'.

Checked with Ford Spares and it seems they are not a spare part. Only way for now is buying the kit with the car.
I’ve tried asking people with the kit to show pics to see if it something us mortals can DIY but somehow they are very jealous and I have not seen any…

Not sure if you've seen one in person, but this isn't a DIY kind of thing, at least if you're trying to replicate it. It's a cast piece that pivots up from the top and is held in the stowed position by a magnet.

I can't show the actual mounting (I don't have the motivation to pull the wheel and fender well off as it's 110F/43C in my garage right now), but if you could get a look at a service manual you could see what additional bracket/brace materials are backing it (it's rated to 150lbs/68kg).

Would these easily go from a '25 to a '24 BL? I haven't taken apart the side covers off my '24, but if I can find a wrecked '25 and get them I will. (Just asking in case someone knows for a fact or not.)
