Hi. As the title says, my blinkers are clicking very fast.

Last night my right turn signal blinker started flashing fast. I parked and had someone look at my exterior lights, my right brake light was out.
Cool, not a problem, a quick fix.

I went to Advanced Auto Parts, was going to get the regular incandescent bulbs, guy in the front convinced me to get the LED style ones.
So I bought the Sylvania 3175R.

Now both of my blinkers are flashing rapidly. I had looked at all the lights again, all looked fine. Had someone verify both my brake lights are working.

I'm confused as to why the blinkers are flashing so quickly when I turn my signal on.

Should I just get the regular incandescent bulbs and call it a day?

Either go back to incandescent bulbs or get LEDs with resistors (or add resistors). Sorry I don't have info on the correct ones. If I find them during a search, I'll edit. Cheers!

You are now experiencing “hyper flash”. Just replace the bulbs with the type indicated in the owner’s manual and be done with it.

Have the same issue. LR brake light went out, replaced all lights in the rear with LESs. It only blinks fast inside for whatever reason, keeps me mindful when they are on. I’m okay with that, don’t see the problem with it

Your brake lights could be experiencing “hyper flash”. Have you had someone depress the brake pedal and view the brake lights?

You could also put a weighted object over the brake pedal and view the brake lights yourself.

Only the turn signal indicators inside the rig flash fast, emergency, brake, front & rear all work fine. Thinking about it though, I wouldn't mind the brake lights flashing, better at getting those "hinney hugger's" attention

Sorry for the delay response. I replaced both bulbs with manual recommended ones. Problem solved.

I put LED brake light bulbs in my '23 OBX with no problem. The turn signals are a different bulb and changing just the brake lights bulbs had no impact on them. I did it on my Wife's '20 Ecosport and the turn signals are fine unless you hit the brakes. Then they start blinking more rapidly. That is only on the dash, however. In reality the actual lights are blinking normally.

The rapidly flashing turn indicator on the dash is usually indicative of a bad rear stop lamp. I have been experiencing this and did a visual check and the bulb was not lighting.

This is an easy replacement. It took me 10 minutes. You will need a 10mm socket or nut driver. The owner’s manual specifies P27/7W bulb. I do not recommend installing an LED bulb as a replacement. You will have issues. This bulb socket was not designed for an LED bulb. An LED bulb will create a rapidly flashing turn signal light on your dash and can also create hyper flashing.

You will not find the exact part number indicated in the owner’s manual. 3157 is the replacement bulb you will need.

Great opportunity to upgrade to LEDs. I think for whatever reason Ford did this, the only non LEDs are the break lights. I replaced mine with the Sylvania 3157 Zevos, I think they were around $15 for a pair at Auto Zone. You might still see a fast flash on the dash as they draw less current than incandescent bulbs, but they flash outside the rig just fine. They will most likely be the last time they will ever need to be replaced.
