Just some bad luck with a defective starter, only a handful of owners posted replacing a starter that I’ve seenYes the guy that tried to jump it said he has a hunch it was the starter because he said it was hot to the touch.

Sounds about right for my luck with cars ?. You have any experience with the bypass for the auto start/stop?Just some bad luck with a defective starter, only a handful of owners posted replacing a starter that I’ve seen
I just press the button but you can disable auto start/stop via FORScan or via purchase of a device (under $100). Which way do you prefer?Sounds about right for my luck with cars ?. You have any experience with the bypass for the auto start/stop?
I always forget to hit the stupid button!I just press the button but you can disable auto start/stop via FORScan or via purchase of a device (under $100). Which way do you prefer?
Right so there’s a device that costs about $100 and attaches to OBD Port (device is easily removable) or costs $0 via use of FORScan which is a program that runs on a PC that makes changes to the Bronco Sport programming.I always forget to hit the stupid button!
I’ve seen the $100 on that plugs in to OBD port I was just curious if that was safe to use or if any one has used it and had any negative experiences with it.Right so there’s a device that costs about $100 and attaches to OBD Port (device is easily removable) or via use of FORScan which is a program that runs on a PC that makes changes to the Bronco Sport programming.
I have one (Autostop Eliminator for the 2021-2024 Ford Bronco Sport) on mine and it plugs into the factory OBD port on one side and to the disconnected OBD connector harness on the other. Best $99 I've spent so far (just for eliminating the agitation when I forgot to push the button). I never think about the ASS now. On the Sport, it will remember the last state it was in, so if you push the factory ASS button and disable the system it will always be that way until you wish to enable the system again (by pushing the button to resume the ASS). When I start the BS with the system disabled, the first message I get is "Auto StartStop deactivated by switch" (as would happen after one disables it using the button). Cheers!I’ve seen the $100 on that plugs in to OBD port I was just curious if that was safe to use or if any one has used it and had any negative experiences with it.

So do i and then i come to a stop and it shuts off and i swear.I always forget to hit the stupid button!
Neither do i the 2021 F-150 i had before i got my BS it was deleted form the factory and i didn't miss it at all.I don't like auto start, auto shut off.
I'm not sure. Can it be deleted after purchase?
I think the starter may be a red herring. Stalling/no start due to battery voltage changes (in your case a new battery) is exactly the behavior the recall is meant to address. There are similar stories from a few others
Have you had recall 24S24 done prior to the failure to restart at the red light?
Will have the recall addressed once I get the vehicle back, but with the recall comes the loss of battery affiliated accessories such as radio, lights, and A/C I did not lose any of those.I think the starter may be a red herring.
