They have gas struts on the rear window and rear hatch. They’re not saving significant weight or cost by bot having them under the hood. It’s absurd and they should be standard.

This thread isn't about rear gas struts which the sport is already equipped with. You say

You must mean electric struts for the rear hatch so they close at the push of a button.

Emerald struts is a company from the UK who makes auto open and electronic open close struts for hatchbacks. They don't have a kit for bronco sport, but they do have one for the kuga, which is the UK badged escape. Maybe those would be similar/same in sizing and weight rating to work on a bronco sport.
