Not really, with respect to oil dilution alone. Of course full synthetics do have their own benefits that I like to use it for but as far as dilution goes blend and full syn are equally affected.
The biggest issue with longer oil changes over 5,000-7,500 mi on direct injection engines regardless of the oil type (syn, semi syn) is that fuel dilution. Some types of driving are better than others to control the amount of dilution in the oil. The longer trips, longer amount of time at...
I have the no start and no start because the keyfob issue. The Ford dealer had documented the temps as well as me giving them some data. Usually 85f and above. Mine was built in February. Replacement so far, 2 proximity antennas , and the Body control module. A Ford engineer has been assigned...
Presumably rolled, the Fire Dept cut the top and folded it down to remove the patient. They folded it back ,the tow company up righted the BS and snap went the picture.

While no story is provided, it demonstrates again the Bronco Sports passenger compartment holds up extremely well.
That is definitely a thing. This issue is somewhat different as it doesn't really have any interference issues , more like there's a hardware piece is bad... supposedly.
Just had that software update done , it was available a couple weeks ago supposedly. No change. Still the same issue. They sent the feedback back to Ford.
Sorta, It was well known and more than 30 years ago and has nothing to do with anything today; However Pennsylvania oils were knows to be waxy (Quaker state , Pennzoil) These oils left waxy nasty residue on all internals of an engine after continuous usage.
I don't think you will notice the difference with 235's vs 225's. My Badlands has the wild peaks and I really like them. I cant give any snow opinions, but can tell you they handle well in everything else. You can hear them but they are not noisy. I did a trip where on the highway portion I got...
The 1.5L will definitely be a little easier on oil with respect to oil dilution because of the combination Port and Direct injection as opposed to the direct only on the 2.0L. If you don't mind, when you get your report back from the analysis can you share it here?
Generally, 5k miles is the limit for these DI engines because of the gasoline dilution. If you do a lot of short stints, you will likely have more. The Motorcraft (Ford) Filter is your best bet for quality and price. You can pick up the filters at walmart, and auto stores. The filter you took...
Mine make noise when they get warm ( moderate usage) Badlands. A friend of Mine's Big Bend with the same mileage ( 2500-3000) has the same issue and the same exact usage. In the past its been usually because of subpar pad material. The performance of the pads have been great, its just either...
According to Ford there are 7 antennas that detect your keys signal. Ford Overnighted the one they believe was the culprit that was in the console area and it was installed. So far the dealer says it works but hard to confirm because we don’t have 90 degree weather. Picking it up today and...
The dealer still has it and the shop foreman is working on it , waiting on a call back from Ford’s engineering dept. The dealer is at least excellent w/their updates
@Sharmie Update: My BS is at the dealer and they confirmed the issue and said , " this is a first for them" They need both my fobs to finish the diagnostics.. Ill let you know what they find when I get to that point.
