2023
Great instructions in Post 1, btw.
And I do now see what you mean about the number of years one gets. The one download is for this year's. So I guess we'll see next year if the complimentary downloads is three. Or one. Or something else.
Great thread; I found it HUGELY helpful.
The Ford website never updated via the WiFi route, so I ran the update via the USB route on both vehicles. Generated and uploaded the .xml file. .xml files accepted, all good. Thank you, everyone in this thread for the help.
P.S. One vehicle updated the map to NA 2 23 via WiFi. The other I'm...
Will give it another shot. I have checked for updates at the head unit several times. Each time it tells me I'm up-to-date at the vehicle. But online it still shows as needing the update. Maybe just a time cycle thing.
Thanks!
Thank you. Yes, the files are somewhat different. So while I wasn't thrilled that I had to download 13GB twice (12GB+ for the maps and almost 1GB for Sync23188) it was the safer bet.
Now the next issue is that while I was downloading files for the the USB solution both vehicles updated over...
Pardon me for a dumb question, but both of my 2023 Fords require the same Sync 23188 and current map updates. Can I use one download set (Sync file and map license & file) for both or do I have to download one set of files for one and again for the second.
Also, the website told me the days of...
1. My vote is to replace all four and as @wessermgm says keep at least one as a spare. I personally would keep all three as you never know. Or sell them.
2. My dealership has always said speak to the tire manufacturer about warranty issues. Probably why your dealership seemed unhelpful; not...
Well, this turned out to be a bit disappointing.
It is the EXACT same Bronco Sport in Eruption Green Metallic that has already been selling overseas for more than a bit. It's just in new packaging for the US/Canada (etc.) market. Both made in Thailand.
Smaller than Matchbox's previous Bronco...
Here's a good read about the overall Ford situation:

It summarizes a Barron's article:

TL;DR:
1. Warranty...
Just to be clear, "under the rear brackets" means the Powerty brackets you adhere to the rear.
I don't like that the top edges aren't parallel to the ground (like in the install video on Amazon), but to keep the little hooks in play/working you have to angle them up (like in the photo). So even...
The Powerty cover for the Escape works quite well. Not perfect, but pretty close.
The brackets (where the cover attaches to the head rest post) are the weak point being a rather flimsy bit of plastic.
The angle of the cover holder has to change, but it is functional. I used a double layer of...
I have used Exact Audio Copy (EAC) for years. Love the options.
I have also used MP3 Tag Editor for years, as well, to police up any metadata errors in my collection.
Both Windows-based; the latter also offers a Mac OS version. Donations accepted.
We have the CMS, but my wife misses the retractable cover that was in our Escape.
Speaking of Escape, that is what this product fits. So it will also fit the Bronco Sport?
I've been receiving these emails as well. I haven't responded b/c even though they look Ford-ish or Ford affiliated my spidey sense tells me something ain't right.
Usually when I get a survey from a survey taker that is not the company itself the company had previously sent a heads-up. No...
Not a fan. Looks like Ford dropped a tablet into a slot.
So why not just do that? Do a deal with Samsung or Apple or Microsoft so that you could drop in an iPad or Tab Sx or a Surface? Load it with a Ford app that activates when docked.
So if you're gonna add something that looks out of place...
