Wow! Reading the thread title had me worried for my cats. Was there a new disease running wild in the feline population? How soon does one notice symptoms? Can it be prevented? And most importantly, was the injury so bad that one had to completely step away from the pet and buy new tires...

FWIW, my 2012 F150 FX4 ran Pirellis as the OEM tires. Was supposed to get 60k out of them. Got just over 30k. The service manager told me that that particular Pirelli tire was a very soft compound tire. Not at all what one would expect on a 4x4 work(ish) Truck. What were you thinking, Ford? So...
