My wheels get more brake dust on them per mile than any vehicle I have owned. I tend to brake gradually - I am not a hard driver. I think it has lousy pads - I am planning to throw some ceramics on it to see if it helps. It could be because the brakes are very exposed on the BB wheels, but I bet...
I just did mine today - about 3500 miles. The oil was pretty dark, so I like to get it out of there. I have always done my own oil changes in the 3000 to 4000 mile range - have driven many cars over 200,000 miles without any major engine issues. I traded a Honda Odyssey for my Bronco Sport - it...
I am saying that my research (not high level research) shows that it is a chain and does not have a regular replacement interval. There has been discussion over the years that the Bronco Sport 1.5 has a timing belt - which would need replaced at certain intervals. I think the confusion is that...
What I remember reading is that the Dragon engine is produced in many factories all over the world and there are multiple versions of it. I think the 1.0 version in the Eco-Sport has the timing belt. Other versions slated for other countries also use the belt. But the version sourced for the...
I don't know the source I originally looked up (I think it was Ford), but I just Googled this:
https://ogattiparts.net/shop/engine-kits/1-5l-engines/brand-new-oem-timing-chain-kit-1-5l-dragon-2019-2022-6-pieces-escapebronco-og-60-1-5l-6/
I had looked this up when I bought the car - there was a lot of debate about it. I was able to find the part number of the chain and tensioner for the 1.5 3cyl at the time. There is a belt drive in other versions of the engine, but it appears to be a chain in the Bronco Sport. But I have not...
The rotary shifter is my main issue. If I have to change direction quickly (turning around in the street for example) - I have issues operating it quickly and accurately. It doesn't help it is next to the rotary Goat mode knob - I have reached for the wrong one a few times.
We have the same combo - Bronco Sport and Outback. Both AWD systems seem to work well in snow, which is what we need. Both actually drive similarly to me - Bronco sits higher and is a shorter vehicle, the Outback is lower and longer. Both have been good vehicles so far.
I think my 2022 has the built in Wifi hardware, but I never signed up or used it. I just use a Verizon Mifi when I need Wifi in the car for my kids. These have always worked great for me.
Had the same problem - I had bought some metal caps with little Broncos on them and they practically fused to my valve stems within a couple months. Went back to the boring plastics.
I used the Turtle wax that you show on my BS last summer. I thought it worked great - really easy to apply - did not leave any residue. Seemed to hold up well - I have Area 51 and it really brought out the color nicely. I will be applying another coat this spring.
I have used Blizzaks over the years on multiple cars. They always work pretty well, but I have noticed some cars work much better than others with them. I actually may lean toward your last statement and add there may be different flavors of Blizzak and some work better than others. I never...
I have the same car with about 13,000 miles - never makes a shudder when shifting to reverse - so this is not normal for that car. Brakes squeal like a SOB when backing up - this does seem to be normal...
From experience (not on the Bronco sport - yet), eating multiple O2 sensors can be from a misfiring spark plug (bad plug/bad coil) - this will allow unburned gas to hit the O2, which will kill it. Until the cause is found, it can continue to eat O2's.
I have done the oil on my 1.5 3 times so far - this is what I used - bought from Amazon:
Motorcraft® SAE 5W-20 Synthetic Blend Motor Oil(U.S.) (5.3 quarts)
Fram PH3614 Filter
The ones I remember seeing looked like the aluminum BL wheel, but were steel. They were on the Ford site (this would have been Jan 2022), but I have not seen them since. Like I said, maybe I am mistaken, but I remember doing a build on the car on the website. Maybe it was a full size Bronco I...
When I bought my Bronco Sport last year - (the car was someone elses cancelled order and I only had a few hours to decide - ended up being a Big Bend). I did not know much about these cars - I was desperate for any car at the time. I remember doing some quick research and I seem to remember that...
