I posted a thread some time ago about my experience with Bridgestone Blizzak DMV2 winter tires on my Badlands compared to my 2019 Escape Titanium AWD (2.0 Ecoboost).
The Escape was excellent with the Blizzak DMV2s. They inspired confidence in all situations.
My experience with the Badlands hasn’t been as good. I have experienced a good amount of fishtailing and slipping in general. Quite disappointing.
I had been using slippery mode to drive on snow and ice. The car behaves noticeably different in this mode compared to normal.
We had a good amount of snow overnight so on my way to work I decided to try driving in normal mode to compare it to slippery.
Normal was noticeably better and much more similar to the performance of the Escape. No fishtailing or slipping.
I know this isn’t scientific but it’s what I noticed.
Any ideas why this might be the case?
It is possible my current set of Blizzaks just aren’t as good as the last set for some reason.
