A lift doesn't affect what tire size you can run. It's all about the width of the wheel well.
You can run 245/65 or 235/70's with no rubbing at full lock. After that you would need to trim or deal with the rubbing.
There are some running 255/75's by trimming the pinch weld on the fire wall.
This...
Definitely interested in the follow-up with your mods.
255/75's will require trimming the pinch weld which I guess i wouldn't have a problem with.
I've been running 245/65 cooper discoverer at3's (a great tire) that have made me hydroplane and float on snow because of it being such a light...
Agree with everyone saying this would be more trouble than it's worth.
Since I'm here, have you all seen the turbosmart dual port blow off valve? No idea if that would achieve anything or if is just a waste of money.
I'm running 245/65's.
One reason I'm thinking of doing 235/70 is for such a light vehicle I have hydroplaned and been floating on snow. The tires are rated to be great at preventing it too. Definitely going to loose some of the wide stance look though
Also, I hear that even though you can turn off traction control on some Subaru models it still restricts engine power if the wheels are slipping to much.
I had (traded up) the HRG 1.5
I contacted HRG and asked if I could get just one of the plates they use to make the spacers with. He said they actually make them with 2 plates welded together for another vehicle but didn't recommend going to 2" in the front without dropping the sunframe.
He told...
I had an HRG 1.5 on my OB and it was fantastic. And I did a lot of off-roading.
I'm looking again now that I have a BL. I'm not paying 5k for the flatout and the ford ranger lift might be to much without the subframe drop kit. I'm thinking of just going with what I know works, HRG.
245/70's rub...
On the body, hood and sides. This blue is so dark I didn't think a matte black would be very noticeable especially on the hood. Going to try to match the grey for the lettering on the back.
Many of the companies that sell the decals said they could do custom colors if I gave them the right 3M...
Has anyone put vinyl graphics on?
I'm trying to find a good secondary color. The only thing I've come up with is matching the gunmetal grey on the grill.
