I have a ThinkWare U1000. I really didn't want a block that sticks to my windshield. I wanted something small. But after much deliberation, I decided to go for that. It's not obtrusive to my view or anything, so I'm pleased with it. I stuck the rear camera to the plastic trim instead of the...
I also installed a V1 to the left of the mirror. Tucking the wire was easy. Stuffing it into the black plastic around the mirror was one of the harder parts, but I've since learned how easy it is to just pop the plastic off.
Wiring into the fuse panel was a different story. Turns out I don't...
We're all itching to see what the tallest tire is that we can stuff in the wheel well. Take one for the team and find out! But I agree with @Bluebaru:
Adding width will increase interference when turning the wheels.
A question I can actually answer! I figured it out last month and detailed my findings in this thread: https://www.broncosportforum.com/forum/threads/cheap-homelink.5144/
Not a dumb question. I'm sure this is going to ruffle some feathers, but the answer is probably little to none. It won't be long before the AutoZone parts junkies repel from the forum ceilings and set me on fire for besmirching the precious CAI, because they put one on their Dodge Neon and it...
So over on Maverick Truck Club they've got a thread going about a cheap auto-dimming rearview mirror courtesy of Kia. Well, some of the mirrors they're finding also have Homelink buttons. I managed to nab this one from World Kia Parts for $14 and got it installed.
[Edit to add: They held my...
Give this a read.
It's been a while since I read that thread and I'm too lazy to reread it, but if memory serves it talked about the Perimeter Plus alarm system that adds remote start.
Most of my driving lately has been between Midlo and Waxahachie, so yeah, can confirm lol. I was driving from Ford in Wax to home in Midlo when I saw those two big Broncos this weekend. Probably less than 10 minutes between the two.
I guess they're all in North Texas? I see Sports pretty much every time I go out, and I don't normally do a lot of driving. This past weekend I saw two big Broncos within a few minutes of each other, but that's unusual. I usually only see one of those every now and then.
I'll be honest, when I was reading it my initial thought was, "here's another overly sensitive owner that's going to complain about nit-picky little things." But damn, that's just plain embarrassing for that dealer. What a mess! One of the interior panels was on top of the weatherstripping! And...
Yeah I agree with that, though in such a collision I imagine the step, if it were installed, would do little to spare the bumper. I think it'd only help in parking lot scuffles.
Do the aftermarket hitches somehow attach to the bumper? I assumed all of them attached to the body. I'd imagine anything attached to our flimsy bumpers would have an abysmal tow rating.
Edit: to be clear, in my first post I was comparing having a step installed in the receiver to not having...
The hitch is pretty light duty. It's attached to the body, not a sturdy frame. You're not concerned about trading bumper damage for body damage? I think I'd rather the bumper absorb the force of impact, as it's designed to do, than skip it and translate those forces directly into the body.
The only one I've seen was shared on the long ForScan thread, but it's an empty sheet: https://www.broncosportforum.com/forum/threads/bronco-forscan-thread.844/post-41384
