That's not necessarily what the topic is about (despite my reference to the suspension in the OP). Its about the differences, if any, between the two hitches in relation to their weight ratings.
And thatâs what Iâm hoping is the case. The 220lb tongue weight limits me quite severely BUT I wouldnât be hauling anything at great lengths with that much hanging off the hitch.
The OEM hitch looks to have more reinforcements which is why I figured itâs ratings were on the cautious side.

I wish they didn't ruin the wheel with that convex face because the flat/concave face on their other fitments looks great. Looks better than stock though!
I have a Badlands model with factory tow and I see the ratings are 220lbs tongue and 2200lbs trailer weight.
The Curt model for the BS (CMF13474) is rated at 525lbs tongue and 3500lbs trailer weight.
Curious on why they are so far apart on the ratings and if the factory hitch is underrated or...
Theyâre a traditional vinyl decal. I put a ceramic coating over the ones on the wheels to help with chemicals/UV but time will tell.
I sold a few to another BS owner for $1.50/ea plus the 60cent stamp. I have plenty more.
For anyone looking to tap in to the auto dimming mirror connectorâour â22 BS BL did not have the auto dimming mirror connector as shown above.
Ended up purchasing the correct harness to make hardwiring a USB port for a dash cam simpler.

Same harness if you want to...
The âtrain left frontâ is the beginning step to using the activation tool, once you do so at the front left the horn honks and the screen states âtrain front rightâ, so on until youâve trained all 4 tires.
Also, have you been able to successfully start the process with this method? Didnât work...
'Magic Erasers' are an abrasive, no matter how you want to bend around that word in the end the whole point of the product is to remove material.
Using them on plastic trim is fine but if you focus on one section for too long you're likely to have visible inconsistencies across the surface.
No, not at all.
Seems awfully heavy for something protecting from minor debris and scrapes. Given how it mounts I wouldn't expect any bolt on solution like this to withstand much impact force so it might as well be light weight.
