I tried to have the dealer look at it when I got an oil change this week, but was turned away because they said it would divert their techs for too long to address the problems I have. Trying to find another dealer that can look at it but I live in a pretty disconnected area.
Will update when I...
Hey Matt, unfortunately been documenting and waiting on this one, been hit or miss on cold days and been recording when I get a chance. I have a oil change coming up and will be asking about it then and will let you know. It is odd, it happens about 25% of the time and I get concerned, then it...
For reference, my BB can have a huge swing based on how I drive. If I am conscious and switch my digital speedo to the fuel economy, I can get 35 in eco driving around town without any issue (aside from the fact I’m not having fun driving it). On the way back, I slap it in sport and get 22...
Let us know how it goes!
This is the kit I am looking at, but had some hesitancy to drill holes and shave parts as seen in their install video. If you happen to install it without doing that let me know!
Also, do you know if you need the camber bolt for the install, or is it optional?

Does the sound come on when at just lower speeds on a warm engine? There’s a whirring sound I can hear after the engine warms up around 1500 RPM, that you can even get to happen when in neutral revving to that speed, might be worth a try to see if it is the same. Other noise threads have...
I drive my BB on beach trails (deep sand) without any issues. Like other have mentioned, knowing how to drive on off road trails is very important, and good tires are also important.
The 225/65/R17 stock continentals are more than capable for dry off roading, but as soon as there is lots of wet...
Sitting at 27.5 mpg in my BB with the deflector. Noticed about a 1-ish mpg drop when I installed it, am surprised it makes it drop by that much.
That being said, the extra gas cost is offset by not needing to buy gallons of touch up paint for the rock chip magnet that is the BS hood…

Thanks Mark, aligns with what I was thinking. Working with modern day engineered components for my job I couldn’t imagine it was typical. I’ll be calling the dealership tomorrow. Need to call about the loose shift cable issue as well, 2 birds 1 stone.

Hello all,
I have noticed recently what when I start my BSBB when it is less than about 55degF, each rev has a fairly distinct and loud tap to it, and when accelerating it gets very loud.
I know that at low oil viscosity from low temp along with a cold angine can cause some odd sounds, but it...
My understanding talking to the tech was just the brake pads, but I was not told explicitly. I can check the service printout early next week when I am back home. It was a 2h job pickup to dropoff so I assume it was just just pads ?
Not the original poster but this is the view of mine from the driver’s seat.
You can see it a little bit over the hood humps but you get used to it quick (both the view and the lack of windshield bugs!)
Does this happen only when the engine is warm?
If so, try something for me… once the engine is warm, park the car and then while holding the brake shift into neutral, then also press the gas to get to 1500 RPM. Do you also feel/hear something then?
If that’s the case, it maybe the same issue...
