  1. Overlanding in northern Maine woods in Feb w/ Badlands Bronco Sport

Love it - looks like a blast. Yes....air mattresses are miserable in the cold. Nothing but a super thin layer of rubber between you and air that quickly hits ambient temperature. Been there, done that, and the comfort of an air mattress was quickly overshadowed by the cold from the same mattress.
  2. Driving in wind (no good)

He's probably long gone. I had a Mazda RX-7 way back that I absolutely loved, so I'll always have a soft spot for the brand. I looked into that same SUV that the OP presumably traded in his Bronco Sport to get. All I can say is, choice and options are the spice of life, so more power to him...
  3. Driving in wind (no good)

I'm actually pleasantly surprised by how planted and solid the BS feels. I think it feels more solid when driving than anything this shape deserves to feel. I recently drove my 2016 BMW X3 about 930 miles from Georgia to Iowa, and then drove a Bronco Sport back the same 930 miles home. I was...
  4. From order to delivery - my timing

2023 Badlands ordered on 9/6 and it was ready to be picked up from my dealer on 01/07. I wasn't able to pick it up for a few weeks after that, but from order to ready for me to drive it away, almost exactly 4 months to the day.
  5. What did you do TO your Bronco Sport today?

Starting to look like Christmas. And getting very close to assembly time!
  6. Three little buttons on the ‘23 Badlands

    Yeah - it's definitely a '23 thing.
  7. What did you do TO your Bronco Sport today?

window tinting is one of those things with a wide spectrum of tinting products, quality, and costs. Yes - $100 for the front windows is in the ballpark but for a lower-end quality product. With tint, you generally have three options: General tint ceramic Nano-ceramic. ceramic is better than...
  8. What did you do TO your Bronco Sport today?

Nice move on the wheels. I feel the same way. The OBX wheels are my least favorite of the wheels that come on any of the BS trim levels.
  9. What did you do TO your Bronco Sport today?

20% tint on sides and back, and 65% on the windshield. Before and after pics below. Next up, powered-coated wheels next week.
  10. Three little buttons on the ‘23 Badlands

Ah! Yes - I did get the Premium package. Must be in that.
  11. Three little buttons on the ‘23 Badlands

It does. I really like it, but I can see why that wouldn’t be a good thing in your case.
  12. Three little buttons on the ‘23 Badlands

Three little buttons that I really like on the ā€˜23 Badland: I bought this BS for my daughter, but for awhile, I’ll be sharing it with her. We are not the same size. ? If it wasn’t a shared car, then this wouldn’t matter, but for now, it’s a small but nice feature to have. Glad Ford added it!
  13. What did you do TO your Bronco Sport today?

I’m good but thanks for hitting all of the usual comments in one post. :)
  14. What did you do TO your Bronco Sport today?

Love it. I'm going with the same tires in 255/70/17. :)
  15. What did you do TO your Bronco Sport today?

Today, I used 42,000 Ford Pass points on a 7 year/100k mile Ford ESP plan. Parts I plan to put on my BS keep coming in. Today, I received the 1.75" FordRangerLifts lift. Now I'm just awaiting the new wheels that I've got on order, which are backordered and should arrive by mid-February...
  16. RC 1.5in lift. Dealership & mechanic both said its not worth the risk. are they wrong or right?

My 1.75" lift from FordRangerLifts should arrive today or tomorrow. I'm not worried about it negatively impacting the vehicle. I am going to have a shop that specializes in off-road builds do the installation.
  17. Weird roof color glitch on Ford website

Like you said, it's just a glitch. I noticed the same thing recently on the Builder tool. I configured a Badlands and the picture showed a matching body-colored roof instead of the black roof, but in the details of the configuration, the black roof was selected.
  18. feature comparison BSBB 2022 to 2023

Agreed. This is a question of save a bit now, or get a bit more on the backend. Typically, you come out better off going with the newest model year in a situation like this, as the back end will likely be worth more than the difference today.
  19. Anyone else with a 2023 get a key fob without the lift gate button?

Yeah - '22 BS Badlands on the left and a '23 BS Badlands on the right. No savings in "real-estate'. The keys are the same size. Just had that relatively useless button removed.
  20. Backing up sounds like dying whale

Not sure if anybody with a ā€˜23 is still dealing with the backup squeal, but it may be fixed? I’ve had my daughter’s ā€˜23 in prime condition for the squeal, and none, whatsoever. My son’s ā€˜22 would definitely have that whale sound in our wet chill.
