Figured I’d put this out there, and I know it’s been beaten like a dead horse before.
Is it me or is the Bronco brand heavily divided even by Ford Motor Company? No access to The Bronco Trail app for BS owners, full size owners snub Sports, and it seems like most Sport owners don’t get much...
I brought this up and caught flack. I did all my initial services at 20k to get any break in material out of my trans, diff and PTU. After that im going to services them every 30k.
AARP has some good read's from time to time. A youtube car enthusiast put his Carmax extended warranty to the test. It was a top tier "bumper to bumper" extended warranty to the tune of $3k at the time (few years back). He had a Range Rover he bought used from Carmax and picked it apart. The...
**update**
I was originally going to max out my coverage just for a piece of mind and pick every covered item apart to keep things tip top. Normally I do my own work to prevent errors from occurring but the cost of some of the parts on newer vehicles made me cringe. I had my timing cover...
Just an FYI... the direct supplier for the console and under seat vaults that are on the Ford store are normally cheaper than Ford on any given day but they are doing a blow out sale... link below.

I have all of their skid plates on my BB. Filter access is easy, lord help you on the drainplug. Its easier to turn the wheel to the right and reach in to grab the plug. BUT... it turns into a cascading waterfall of oil because none of the holes line up for the 1.5.
I'm not implying that any BS has lifetime fluids. I'm using it as an example because that is common terminology today. Everyone is welcome to do as they wish :) But I can promise you I'm not the only one following this theory...
As an ex-technician I can promise you there is no such thing as a "lifetime" fluid. Fluids are being engineered to be thinner and get worked harder, all in the name of fuel economy. If you dropped the trans pan on a vehicle with 20k miles or popped the diff cover I think you'd be shocked at how...
I run full syn Amsoil 5w20 and a Motorcraft filter every 5 k miles. Someone will step in and say 10k is just fine and say how oil technology is evolved.... I don't trust that. Most service intervals today are built around planned obsolescence. My 22' BSBB has already had its fluids changed at 20...
My fiance has a 2017 Escape. It's a great vehicle but couldn't fight its way out of a paper bag if it wanted to, especially off road. Yes.. the current Escape and BS share the 1.5 and similar underpinnings. But R&D and engineering at Ford stopped it there. The AWD system between the two are...
Looking into this tune for my 1.5 with a few supporting mods. Has anyone actually run the 5star tune on their 1.5? If not I will order it and play guinea pig after I recover from Christmas.
@Pigpen Have you sold your bronco yet? This may be odd to some, but if you have not and you have enough strength.. I'd love to take you out one last time for a real drive in your Bronco, if not mine. I've always told my family it would be my last wish. I'm not far from you and would love to see...
Good morning & Happy New Year!
I'm curious to know what kind of experience those of you had using your Ford Protect Warranty? I've had almost zero issues with my 22" BB (other than one bad dealer experience due to poor workmanship). But... being that it is a 2022 and just rolled 26k miles I am...
