22’ BSBB bought brand new in November of 22’. Put 40k miles on it. At 38k I had the BCM Recall performed. Noticed that engine performance felt a little better which I found odd but my cranking seemed slower and slower.
Left the house this morning, cranked fine. Got to the gym and worked out for...
I did Tail of The Dragon this past January in my lifted sport on KO2’s at the time. Crossed over from Cherohola Skyway in Tellico Plains, crossed over in the snow and ice and dropped back down into N.Carolina. Got dinner and decided that Cherohola at dusk wasn’t the best idea with the snowmelt...
Center section is only dyed on top not through and through. It will continue to peel over time. A reputable upholstery shop can blend that area and make it look good but it will always be a problem. I put Katskin in my BB myself to avoid this issue.
Is that all the upgraded vent is? I was considering extending mine to a higher location when I was in TN crossing creeks. Only thing that leads me to believe the fluid is an issue was my situation. Had it changed at the dealer in an attempt to be proactive and eliminate any break in material...
I'm in SW Florida near Ft Myers. If you shoot down to Cecil Webb its mostly dirt trails ad some sugar sand but its a nice calm area with lots of wildlife. Its really a nature preserve but there is lots to see. If you ever want to make the trip this way I'd be happy to join. It's not nearly as...
Fully agree with you. For now it’s “hand tighten only” but I think I might extend my project one of these days and actually tack the edges of them for better security. For now it’s a step in a better direction of simplicity.
Im curious to to see what the upgrade is when they do these replacements. If it’s the same RDU and the same fluid it’s going to be a repeat problem. I change the fluids in everything I own from bumper to bumper every 20k unless there is som extenuating circumstance that calls for it prior. The...
So the nut rivets go into pre-existing holes in the frame that would have normally had threaded inserts in them for the OEM skid plate on the badlands. Absolutely no drilling required.
After a few rounds at the dealer they were starting to swap hardware for random crap they had laying around...
Anyone in Southwest Florida? near Cape Coral/Ft Myers? Looking to expand my circle of friends and would love to connect with those that have similar interests :like::thumbsup:
I apologize in advance.. i didnt get pics but figured I'd share.
When I got my JCR skid's I was excited but the installation was kind of a PITA which made me realize how much of a PITA it had to be for a tech (ex-tech here). I quickly realized after a warranty visit or two at the dealer that...
I'm sorry this is going to be a copy/paste but its too much to type...
I made a write up about this a few weeks ago. I had mine serviced at 20k. started chattering at 37k miles. Dealer was on a 4 to 6 week wait so I walked into the parts department, bought the proper RDU fluid and a bottle of...

I didn’t even know they had an updated vent hose until you mentioned it. I seem to be doing well with just the fluid switch and additive. If it was popping seals or seeping I’d look into the updated vent but I think ford is looking for bandages. Honestly, I think if they had run the additive...
Those of you with RDU chatter… read this and make this repair at your discretion. I made the choice to go against the grain, I’m putting it out there for those that are out of warranty and don’t want to fork out 5k for an RDU….. again DO THIS AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION… I hold no responsibility for...
Well, catalytic converter is replaced. Lots off fussing from Ford corporate. Apparently there was a hairline crack at the back side of the flange on the exhaust pipe where it meets the turbo. Ford made them send multiple pictures and pull vehicle data. Either way... its taken care of so I'm...
