Hehehe... Yeah, I was kinda being sarcastic... Completely "understandable" that all they care about is the $$$ and not the fact that they are legally bound by their franchise agreement to support the warranty regardless whether you bought the car from them or not! There were two 2 dealerships in...
The two front glass are laminated (as well as the windshield). So there's this material (helps w sound proofing) sandwiched b/w two panes of glass... If you roll down your window you'll notice it. The material makes it very, very hard to break through as it won't shatter. Fortunately they didn't...
Part # 4 in diagram above is the bottom insulator. Already in the BS, no need to buy. No need to buy part # 3 either. You will need 3 of part # 2. Goodluck!!
Speaking of things to check at delivery, my tires were well over-filled (40+ psi) at delivery (realized it after leaving the dealer/about a 100 miles later). Just another thing to watch out for that PDIs tend to miss.
Had same issue, '22 OB BS. Have thread on it with a video as well. Opened up the C-pillar, applied felt and foam all over but unfortunately still no luck. Also removed the grab handle and that did not work as well.
Dealer not helpful at all (they did not do the above work, just said "could not...
Discussed in a post about the myriad BS interior rattles. Creating standalone thread to help folks find the fix easier (especially since Ford Dealer Network avoids helping with these issues).
The Rattle (kind of a buzzing sound, at speeds 35+ mph):
The Fix (super glue, but hard to say how...
Ok, here's the issue... Sunroof buzzing/rattling occurs when the front rubber seal gets detached from the panel. Don't have pic of it detached, but below highlights the seal.
When sunroof is closed it presses down on that front seal. It is glued on the side, so sunroof pressing down basically...
100%! Admittedly, they were careful w their words. But it is the cliche scenario now. Ford dealer (Cape Cod) short on staff and plenty of demand for paid services so they gladly push away warranty work (reimbursed at much lower rates) for the more profitable paid services.
Unfortunately, no luck. Frankly, don't think dealership tried. Just kept car (for two days actually, they said they couldn't get to it first day), drove 2 minutes, then said no creak (showed em multiple videos).
Had moved so dealership took it to was not where purchased BS. They basically said...
This is the way I feel too... See the forum as the place for both... To bond over the fun of the BS and get ideas... But also, as with any car, there may be issues and forums are a great place to get ideas on how to solve them (not just about complaining, but actually about looking for...
OMG, I should have thought of that!! BEST idea ever... Can you build out the Wildtrak with the 7 speed manual?? If yes, I may just keep it when it arrives 2 years from now tho... Serious idea tho, I like it ?
Should've added tags to this post from a while back to help folks find it easier :)

Well known that warranty reimbursement rates are meaningfully lower than regular, paid for work in Dealership Service Departments. Service Advisor chasing his/her sales quota for that reason hate warranty work. Obvious enough what management desires (tho there are incentives from vehicle...
As the engine breaks-in I believe one should see an improvement... But 5-6 is huge!! Engine covers usually more just for sound, aesthetic and actually these days pedestrian impact protection.
Hmm... Thanks for the tip! Feeling this is a legit lead/potential culprit. Can imagine a harness positioned just right and at the right vibration frequency making a sound like that.
Those dents! Those dents!!
That's among the worst quality work have ever seen... Just sad. Dealers HATE doing warranty work, especially on cars not bought from them, because their reimbursement rates are lower.
Crazy how that tech thought they could get away with that level of really bad...
Yep... There's that blue masking tape near bottom center of the video on the c-pillar... That's from a friend whom I instructed, "Here's some tape, cut a piece and stick it where ever you may hear something!!" ? (admittedly, she was too self-conscious for some reason sitting in the back seat to...
