I have an Escape which did not come with homelink. The easy solution that I did was to get a Mazda electronic dimming mirror that came with homelink. I installed it myself and it worked great. I only got the Mazda mirror because it was the same one used in the Escape but cheaper through Mazda...
I can think of three scenarios: mechanic forgot to put oil in the engine, oil drain plug was left off or did not have a crush washer (if required), or the gasket on the oil filter was defective (extremely rare). Some drain plugs require a crush washer. The crush washer is made of soft metal...
I saw on YouTube that ForScan can add a temperature over the temperature gauge on some Fords. Anyone tried that on the BS? It would be great to display gallons over the fuel display.
i believe that ForScan lets you enable a front camera, so it shouldn't require any software programming, just plugging it into the Ford harness somewhere. One of the cheap generic cameras should work fine. You may have to fabricate a mount with Kydex or similar.
I was just looking for an additional key for mine. There are a bunch of universal remotes on Ebay for about $20 that claim compatibility with the Bronco Sport but they do not seem to have the manual key that comes with the Ford original. You can buy new Ford keys on Ebay for as low as $60 and...
I have one of these which I use for camping and when flying drones. It works great. I use the low tier of service which includes a set amount of high-speed service which then drops to unlimited slow speed service. I am fairly sure that this would work inside a vehicle...
What are the advantages of a roof tent? I envision difficulty to get up there without a ladder, a high weight load on the top (roof rails rated at 200 lbs., having to dismantle the tent for any kind of grocery run, and maybe a risk of falling to the ground.
I would bet that it would. My BS does not have a block heater but my plane does. If I plug it in overnight, the whole engine and engine compartment is warm. The type of washer fluid you use may also have an effect on freezing level. I do not dilute those with water even in the summer.
You need to pay attention to the amps on these chargers. I have one that does 1.2 amps which is perfect for a Miata, garden tractor, or a motorcycle battery but will take a while to fully charge most other batteries (usually overnight). My favorite charger/maintainer is my high-end Battery...
Rather than leave the Battery Minder wired up, I got some of the SAE pigtail connectors and hooked the terminals of that to the battery terminals. Then you can just directly connect the charger to that...
I do two camping trips each year: the Sun N Fun Airshow in Lakeland, FL and the Airventure Airshow in Oshkosh, WI. I take the plane to Oshkosh and have camping gear stored onsite with a friend and drive down to FL with all my camping gear. Lots of fun.
Is there any YouTube videos on installation of this on the BS? Installation looks simple but I have not found anything that shows how to remove the front plastic panel for installation.
Some cars have an automatic turn-off on the fuel to lower the risk of a fire after an impact. I had an Escape with that feature and I had to look up how to turn the fuel back on.
You will need a torque wrench, 19mm deep socket, hex sockets, and a tool to compress your calipers. I am fairly certain that the BS will need the tool that rotates the caliper while it compresses. You will need brake grease and silicon grease for the pins.
Two suggestions:
(1) Pick up your own battery tester similar to this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08K3885C4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 These are great, I use these to periodically test health of all my car batteries, my aircraft battery, and batteries for an off-grid...
