i believe that ForScan lets you enable a front camera, so it shouldn't require any software programming, just plugging it into the Ford harness somewhere. One of the cheap generic cameras should work fine. You may have to fabricate a mount with Kydex or similar.

A couple of hours ago, I discovered a BS Big Bend capability I wasn't aware of. A car in front of me decided he had to be in the left turn lane and unexpectedly hit his brake. We weren't traveling at high speed but I had to hit the brake. A fraction before I braked, my dash went completely red, beeped and read 'pre-collision alert.' My Bronco keeps amazing me with its capabilities.
Freaked me out the 1st time, I wasnt aware I had this feature

Curious if you ended up installing this camera? Watched a video on removing the radio and it’s super doable. Just pop off the plate behind the screen on the dash than unscrew a few bolts and the screen comes out then unplug a few connections. If you ended up doing it I might add it to my list of things to do this spring haha
Hi, very busy at the house with some projects that finally got it going. Still in my agenda once I finish that.

The first time it did that scared the crap out of me. I wasn’t expecting it and it wasn’t really that close to hitting anything.
It will do it if you are going through some serious mud and swapping from side to side. Was delivering a package to an unknown address after a serious week of rain and got wrong directions on what road to take. Found out after a 2 mile stretch on some nasy road when I looked in my rear view mirror it said road impassable when wet. The country mailman came from the other direction in a jeep and just shook his head at me.

Yes, after two years, it does it way too often and not at the correct times. I Had to jam on the binders last night to avoid a deer running across the road. It never went off. A slight bit of fog and it goes off. One of those nanny things that isn’t ready for prime time in my opinion.

Well.... Assuming you buy the Badlands Grille to accept the camera.....Which if any of you have watched videos on how to disassemble the grille and headlights on the BS, Its not an easy task. Then you must buy the camera to fit the grille, and then of course the corresponding button on the dash.... All these parts are not cheap......totally guessing but probaly $500 for the grille, $100 for the camera and $50 for the button....

Then the question is, are their wiring harnesses to accept the camera and button??? I don't know. No wire harnes = a definite no go IMO....

THEN the question is, assuming it all plug and played, is software.... Do you have to program the software?? I don't know....

End of day..... probably easier and cheaper to buy a base Badland at this point ....Probably why I haven't seen a "how to" yet.....
Let's say even at $1k for parts, ForScan programing and a little sweat equity, is it worth it to take a beating on your BB trade-in for the $5k or so more base BL? I think not and I'd do a little more investigating.... But that's just me

I drove a badlands at the bronco off-roadeo this past weekend. The front camera was one of the things I was most excited to try out. I was disappointed in it. Not a clear enough image to really see much detail.
