The language states that the recall must be completed prior to delivery to the purchaser or lessee.
IMO they should not be doing the paperwork until the recall is completed. IMO once the paperwork is signed and payment is completed, the vehicle belongs to the owner regardless of where it's parked.
I see that now, thanks for the clarification. I'm curious why it would be limited to the 1.5L models. I would've thought the same vacuum brake booster assembly would be used for either engine.
No they didn't. Those vehicles were sold prior to the recall notice. If you actually read the letter above, Ford issued strict restrictions to dealers against this and it's clear there are stiff penalties for doing so.
Just want to clarify that being a Badlands does not automatically mean it is equipped with an electric brake booster. Not sure if that's what you meant.
Same...a family member's says shipped but no shipping date. She got the email from Ford on January 10. Her delivery date is February 5th now instead of February 6th. ?
This is for the aforementioned #1168 that's been stuck in production since 12/6.
It takes a fair amount of pressure to get the snaps in place. I folded the seats down so I could exert downward pressure with my thumbs. I think the plastic surrounds are supposed to act like keepers to help retain the snaps but they make it a bit more difficult to install.
