VINs are assigned well in advance of production. I had my VIN on September 23, 2021 and my BS was built December 4, 2021. Production for MY2022 didn't start until November.
No regrets at all, love it! Only color that might be better would be Eruption Green, but it's not offered on the BS (at least not yet).
Someone who works a block away has a 2-door fullsize in Velocity Blue. Exactly what I would've ordered had we gone with a full-size.
Just to be clear...you pull the switch up to set the brake and push down to release.

Recap: loaded Badlands, ordered 9/23/21, in production 12/13/21, built 1/10/22, shipped 1/14/22, delivered 2/3/22.
Good luck and hang in there everyone!
I was convinced when the exact same forum discussions occurred for the 2012 Focus. Ours was a late 2012 build and didn't come with one. :cwl:
Rinse, repeat.
We've been listening to Sirius and iHeart radio on our '22 BL and have not had this problem yet. One thing to note is ours does not have the upgraded sound system.
I'm 6'-2" and I really like the cloth seats in our BL. Super comfortable for me but I'm not exactly sure what the adjustment differences are compared to the BB.
I just did a quick build and price on Subaru's site for a Crosstrek Sport and came up with $28,197 including D&D, so I think their numbers are accurate. As mentioned, Badlands comes in at $35,430 with D&D, so in reality it is a $7K difference, not $11K.
Aside from the differences in AWD...
Are you comparing apples to apples though? A Badlands without all the extra options is under $34,000. I remember thinking this when I first saw that video.
I truly don't know how that compares to the Subaru with whatever options it has.
This has been a common feature of many different vehicles for decades. I'm surprised anyone is surprised by it.
But I'll admit I always thought it was a safety feature and not a design constraint.

It sounds like the wrong filter may have been installed. Another possibility is it was not tightened correctly or the old filter gasket remained stuck to the filter adapter, which resulted in a double gasket and a leak.
