Now you can use the steering wheel controls to step through each preset

you can have AA enabled or be on the sync screen and the steering wheel controls for programmed stations work
Not with Sync 4; the steering wheel controls for audio aren't there anymore.

On my steering wheel, 2025 OBX, I do have arrows that change the station to the next station, just not a favorite one, or if I'm listening to my YouTube music, it takes me to the next song on the list.

1. I never use the SiriusXM app on the phone, for me is too slow and buggy - instead I use SiriusXM that’s on the Sync screen (and i have Sync 3.4 while u have Sync 4)

I have this Sync setting: 30 presets selected which is the max for sync 3.4

2. Without CarPlay (or AA) active meaning these steps are from the Sync screen:

manually tune to each AM, FM and SiriusXM station you want as a preset and for each you hold down the channel displayed on the Sync screen until you see it’s accepted as one of the presets - repeat for each station, I have one AM station as a preset and about 5 FM stations and the rest of the presets are my favorite SiriusXM channels

Now you can use the steering wheel controls to step through each preset

you can have AA enabled or be on the sync screen and the steering wheel controls for programmed stations work
So, if I'm understanding this correctly, if I'm using my Android Auto, there isn't a way to preset favorites? I do notice that when I go to a certain screen, it does show me the last few stations I have listened to but guess I can't have a favorite list unless I don't use my AA.

I have the lifetime subscription on both my vehicles. For a time I lost it when I traded in the cars that had it because SIRIUS changed the subscription to the life of the vehicle. SIRIUS reinstated the subscriptions when I called them after they lost the lawsuit. I really like SIRIUS when driving outside of our normal radio station coverage because I can get consistent radio channels on SIRIUS when sometimes I find limited local radio stations.

I also like the fact that with my subscription I have access to the SIRIUSXM app on my phone. I use it to listen to music when exercising with my headphones.

And no changing stations as you cross the country. I like being able to listen to a whole ball game without having to worry about reception.

I get it, everyone is different, but I have satellite radio in three vehicles and a 42' motor home. I wouldn't leave home without it.

yup and you can always make deals with the customer service to get it for a very afordable price. I don't have it in my truck anymore as I switched to a truck camper and it blocks the antenna so I have to look into a relocating kit and then I will get it again.

One thing I noticed about the next/prev controls on the steering wheel is that they (1) change the saved settings for the radio globally - in other words if I have a saved station at 97.5 FM, then a siriusxm channel, then another station like 700 AM, it will cycle through those. What I'd rather have is (2) simple next/prev station in XM. I have a 2025 BSBB.

Works the same as for ‘21-‘24 (with Sync 3.4), can’t cycle through only the Sirius XM Channels if you have FM and or XM stations as presets. It would be nice to only cycle through Sirius XM presets .. so instead I put all my Sirius channels together then FM stations and one AM station at the “end” that way I can zip through the FM/AM presets quickly

On my 2022 my presets are my favorites (for SiriusXM channels, FM and AM stations), the steering wheel controls cycle through all of them - works the same if I’m on the Sync screen or have AA or CarPlay

@Schuelady posted … “On my steering wheel, 2025 OBX, I do have arrows that change the station to the next station”
Just went to check, and I stand (partially) corrected: they have buttons that cycle through AM/FM/Sirius, but not through stations. Utterly useless, IMO.

The wife listens to the radio when she’s by herself and complained about it (our Soul cycled stations), but since I never use it I never bothered to investigate further.

Not sure what you mean, the steering wheel controls cycle through your programmed presets (aka favorites) which is a handy feature

do you mean like the old seek button where it seeks to the next station? Ya, that would be nice to also have on the steering wheel

Especially with siriusxm, channel up/down is on the screen, and worse yet, after you press it once, it moves to a different area of the screen.

Mine only cycles through modes: AM/FM1/FM2/Sirius, not through presets within them.

I will try! Okay, so on my 2015 Mazda CX5, when I was setting up the stations, I could push on that station and it would save it for me. It had 3 screen pages that held about 5 preset stations I liked listening to. Now my Mazda did not have Android Auto. My Bronco Sport, while using my AA, I can't seem to save presets. All it does is, when I go to the main SiriusXM page, it shows a few of my recently listened to channels and also gives me the choice to pick other channels but I can't seem to pick preset channels!! I always have AA going, but I have seen that if the AA isn't going, the channels can be preset. I was just wondering if there was a way, while using AA, that i can preset my most listened to stations.
