Check the dealer website for deals on "The Works" Sometimes my dealer has a coupon for $10 off.
What’s the lowest you’ve paid for The Works in your area for full synthetic or for synthetic blend (which you use)

Here The Works full synthetic can be $50 each when purchased in a package of 3 or $40 individual price for synthetic blend with some dealerships charging $120 or more !

Of course there are typical add on fees which raise price somewhat (oil disposal fee, etc)

I believe the lowest I got was $79 but that was semi-synthetic with the usual tire rotation, and fluids top off. I think full synthetic is $99. Looks to be good prices in your area.

Nothing cheap here in the Peoples Republic of California.

Had my recall done today and it took close to 2 hours, luckily we don't live too far away so we were able to come home and wait for them to call when it was finished!

My cluster recall experience:

Visiting in Santa Barbara, California, so made an appt for the recall at Perry Ford. I was impressed that they have a free pick-up and delivery service, so I scheduled one. Nice guy came to pick it up at 10 am for an 11 am appt. So far, so good.

By 4 pm, I still hadn’t heard anything. So I called several times and by the time I finally got a person to answer the phone, (at 4:30 pm), he said it was “still updating”! Closing time is 5 pm, so I asked him if it was possible my car would have to stay overnight! He went to check on it, and lo and behold, they were “just driving it out.”

At 4:50, I got a text saying my driver has been notified and will text again when he’s on his way. it’s now 5 pm, and I haven‘t heard anything.

So, IF they started at 11 when my appt was for, it was an almost 5-hour process.

edited to add notes to self:
- impressed with the pick-up and delivery service
- glad it’s done
- lower my expectations

Yesterday, mine too around 2 hours, out appointment was for 10am and it was about noon when they called and said it was done! When I dropped it off, I asked them how long they thought it would take and they told me it depends on how long it takes for the upload to take.

Ever since I got the IPC recall update, every other start it forgets My View preferences and resets back to factory defaults. I have to go through the menus to deselect all the My View screens I don’t care about. The only two I use are fuel economy and tire pressure.

My view preferences when I left for work were set properly, I'll have to check again when I leave. The only thing that I can see that is different is the app now shows my oil life at 100%, it was showing 75% before the update, I'm glad I checked the service tab before they pushed it to my car.

This one requires in-shop service, so mobile was out of the question. The Ford app wouldn’t even let me schedule it for mobile.

Appointment was at 9am, left about 1045.

Not sure exactly how long they were working on the update.

I'll have to watch the view menu to see if that changes over the next couple of weeks.

I don't have a lot of faith in this 1st update being a 100% cure.

Just got back from Sanderson. The update took about an hour, and with the “Works” service (oil/filter/rotation/fluids/etc.) it was right at two hours end-to-end, (including sitting over a half-hour finished and forlorn in the ready lot).

Oil life reset properly, MyView screen reset to factory as expected. Ford app hasn’t updated yet for either the recall or maintenance. Not going to sweat that unless we get to Monday and it’s still not showing.

With my remaining Ford Points it came to $36.50.

Breakfast at the Starliner solid if unexceptional, $12.83 plus tip.

Walked the lot, a fair number of Sports, not a single Sasquatch in either Badlands or Outer Banks trims. Only a few Black Diamonds. Which makes me wonder how many Sasquatch owners bought off the lot versus ordered.

Oh, and one F-150 Raptor, $117,000! Sold, too. A fool and his money…

Is that dealer specific? Earlier in the thread someone said they had it done in their driveway and the sheet they handed me about mobile service had software/computer updates as a listed service at home.

It may be. My app sold me it wasn’t available as a mobile service. Given Ford apparently wants up to five hours in case of an update failure, that made sense to me.

I called in for the appointment, so I'm not sure if it was available in the app. The service guy did say they would have come to my house in NYS.

Mine included a free service check of tires and fluids, and topped-off all fluids. I assume that’s why my oil life shows 100%.
