Hey gang!

I was wondering if anyone has replaced the shock absorbers on their Bronco Sport? I have a ‘22 BS Badlands that I took in for some tire maintenance, and the shop is saying my rear shocks are leaking, causing my tires to wear in a way they shouldn’t which has lead to some vibrations. I believe they are being truthful, and regardless, I want to replace my front and rear shocks as I’ve got about 56k miles.

Does anyone have any recommendations on what shocks (or shock and lift kit bundles) to get that may be better than OEM? For example, Rough County, and has anyone had any experience with those? Do their front shocks actually fit a badlands? I asked on their site and someone (not sure if it was RC) replied yes, but I haven’t been able to find anyone who has actually done it. Has anyone installed the 1.5” lift/shock kit on their BS Badlands? Does anyone have any recommendations on front shocks replacement? Or would OEM be the way to go? I’m planning to take the time and install these myself if the task isn’t too tall an order. Someone please let me know if I’m out of my mind, and if the front shocks need to be replaced for maintenance reasons or not at a certain mileage. I haven’t had any problems that I know of with the front shocks, so really was just wondering if they’re worth replacing at this point.

Sorry for all the questions, I appreciate any direction I can get! Thank in advance!

If your pocket book will tolerate it, check out the Bilstein shocks for the Badlands. They have some that provide the gas shocks and lift all in one, though having looked at installation on their website I think I’d probably have a pro do the install and realignment.

At my last service I was told my rear shocks are weeping, I have not yet verified for myself.

Unfortunately, other than OEM there are not many aftermarket options for strut or shock replacement.

The RockAuto website lists FCS suspension for the Sport, its very inexpensive.
They also list Motorcraft and Bilstein

Rough Country has there loaded struts and N3 shocks but the fitment notes on the website says they don't fit the Badlands or First Edition models.

If wanting to spend for something better, Flatout suspension has different replacement options.

For lifts, as mentioned, Bilstein has a lift option, and various companies market spacer lifts.
Eibach has a spring lift, 4 replacement springs, don't know if it works for the Badlands.
